I am sure the space is great given the communication I did have with the hosts. My friend also booked a place in another town unbeknownst to me, so while I booked and paid for the spot, I did not actually stay here.
Lazar was away on holiday with his family when we arrived. However, he was very helpful with directions and instructions via email before we arrived. As soon as he returned from holiday, a day after we arrived, he came by to personally greet us and welcome us. The place was great - newly refurbished, nicely furnished, clean and comfortable. The location was excellent - at the start of the foot of the steps to the fortress and overlooking a pretty little square with cafes and restaurants. We were very happy there and would have loved to have stayed longer. Although the place is small, it is well laid out and comfortable and good value. There is indeed the sound of the church bells that wake you very early and ring throughout the day, but it was part of the charm of "old Europe" :-) I would recommend this place. One thing to note is that the kitchen area is tiny and you are limited to what you can cook, but there are many good and well-priced restaurants in Kotor. Also, if you need coffee first thing in the morning, like me, there is no coffee machine. However, there is a cafe right underneath the flat where you can quickly grab an espresso! The bathroom is also small, but manageable. And the hot water does run out after one shower, but heats up again quickly. Again, it's a great place and great value, great location. We would definitely recommend and stay there again!
Thanks Lazar - this place was perfect for our needs. Central in Old Town Kotor so location couldn't be more ideal. Also it's on the footsteps, literally, of the walk up the hill of the Fort which means we saved €3pp. Not a huge deal but considering we went multiple times during our stay we did save some money!
Only downsides were the lack of hot water (only lasted a few minutes max) and toilet paper. I believe the maid may have forgotten to provide us extra paper as we only had one roll for 5 days, but purchased some from opposite supermarket.
All in all, excellent stay 4/5.
Lazar was an absolutely wonderful host! He was so great at being in contact and so understanding when our bus arrived late to Kotor. His flat in old town was unbelievable, honestly the best airbnb we've ever had! We would highly, highly recommend it. There isnt a better place for the cost!
This studio is in an exceptional location right in the old town with shutters that open up and overlook a small square. The room is clean, and spacious for two with everything you need including kitchen appliances. Lazar was helpful and easy to get hold of if needed. We would highly recommend!
This apartment in the heart of Kotor's old town is perfect for experiencing everything that you could hope to see, from restaurants and bars to the steep but massively rewarding walk up to the fort. The apartment itself is clean and tidy and the hosts - Lazar and Danijela - are extremely helpful. Highly recommended.
The apartment was absolutely fantastic - perfect location, gorgeous and great value. It's got everything you need, and some nice touches like a selection of DVDs. The owners were very helpful and told us where to find free parking. The only downside would be the noise from the square downstairs at night and the bells from 6 in the morning, but I think that's the price you pay for such a convenient location in the middle of Kotor Old Town - I can't imagine there's anywhere within the walls you wouldn't hear those bells!
