Carmel was a lovely host. She made us feel at home right from the moment we arrived. She was most helpful with things to do around Kilkenny, and even gave us directions to places so that we would not lose our way. Breakfast was yummy, and the room was as luxurious as promised. The location of the house gives you the real feel of Ireland's countryside. Strongly recommended. Thanks Carmel for a wonderful stay!
We stayed with Carmel for one night in November and would highly recommend her as a host. Carmel was kind, full of great ideas for our travels and made us feel at home. The house was everything we expected and more, and breakfast was delicious. I would have no hesitation recommending this accommodation.
Carmel was most welcoming and made us feel at home from the outset. She gave us plenty of local information and suggestions for our stay, and was generous in her hosting. The rural location yet close to town made it an ideal base for us. We would highly recommend Meadow View. Thanks Carmel. See you in Australia!
Carmel was an exceptional host, she couldn't do enough and we can't wait to visit her again! :-)
Fabulous! Is how we would describe our stay with Carmel. She made us feel so very welcome and shared so much of her town with us. She also gave us some tips and suggestions for the rest of our stay in Ireland as well. She showed us a wonderful side of Ireland that you would not find as just a tourist in a hotel.
Carmel was a warm welcoming hosts, we would definitely stay at her's again.
When we arrived she picked us up and drove us to her home. In the two days she gave us a few more drives to the city and back, thank you for that!
The rooms were very tidy and cozy. Especially the breakfast was very delicious and we had a lot of fun talking to her. She was interested in our previous Irland experiences and helped us to plan a good sightseeing day in Kilkenny :)
Carmel was such a wonderful host! She is the sweetest woman. She offered us tea and coffee on arrival. She gave us lots of advice on places to see and we learned so much about the Irish history from her. She had breakfast ready and waiting for us before we were to leave the next morning, and it was delicious. The room is a great size, very tastefully decorated and the bed is very comfortable. We would highly recommend her to anyone!

I love travelling - meeting new people, playing golf, photography, cooking and reading.
I greatly enjoy the company of my family and friends who are also social characters like myself.
My background is home economics and I have spent all of my career teaching young adults.
Over the past three years I have undertaken study in Information Technology Systems and am currently in the process of completing the final exams. Whew!
I live in a lovely tranquil area, 3 kms outside of Medieval Kilkenny city, surrounded by lovely grassland countryside. - (FREE shuttle transport service available).
Kilkenny Castle and the ancient monuments of the city are a 7 minute drive from our home as are the rail and bus stations. ( If you are not a car driver, I will arrange ‘a FREE pickup or drop off’).
Historic Kell’s Castle, Mount Juliet, Jerpoint Abbey is 15 minute drive by car away.
My house is very warm and welcoming and provides comfortable accommodation and a lovely garden area for relaxation in a tranquil setting to enjoy a cigarette, a ‘cuppa’ or glass of wine after a day’s sightseeing etc..
This is the start of my venture into 'airbnb' and I am greatly looking forward to meeting new people and making lots of new friends.
