Other Things to Note
We have lived in Bennettsbridge for 7 years, and love the village and the locals. It's friendly, convenient and you get a great opportunity to meet the local characters when you visit Lalors Pub.
We are a coeliac friendly household.
We expect our guests to treat our home with respect. This is a non-smoking house, and pets are discouraged.
As our first airbnb experience, my partner and I could not have asked for better hosts! We were warmly greeted on our arrival and offered tea and biscuits while we sat and chatted with Roisin. Their home is located in a quaint neighborhood just a few minutes walk from their local pub. We were fortunate to be able to spend time with Roisin and Malcolm as they had plenty of great stories and suggestions for traveling Ireland. We have nothing but great things to say about our kind hosts!
Roisin and Malcolm were wonderful hosts. The room itself was spacious with a lovely ensuite bathroom and all the necessities included. They welcomed us with tea and biscuits and gave us great suggestions on places to go. Malcolm saved the day by finding us an adapter for our phones as well. And the breakfast was wonderful! Wouldn't change anything.
Roisin has a warm and inviting home with all the comforts after a long day on the road, was a pleasure spending the night at her place, which was easy to find and just minutes from the castle for a great evening of photography in the town.
The room was perfect - clean sheets, firm bed, nice hot shower. Our hosts are very friendly, helpful and hospitable. We enjoyed much sharing on mutual topics of interest and learnt much about Irish history and societal concerns. Will certainly come back again.
Roisin and Malcolm were fantastic hosts. We got in a bit late and didn't get to spend much time with them, but the next morning, we found it hard to leave because the conversation was just so great! Roisin and Malcolm are such interesting people and we loved getting to know them. Their home is just a few minutes (scenic) drive from Kilkenny Castle and it is so comfortable. The bedroom is very large and the bathroom setup is perfect. Their garden in the back was lovely scenery for breakfast time and their company was even better.
We had a great night sleep at Rousin & Malcom's house. They we're very nice and took good care of us. If we go to Kilkenny again, we would stay with them again!

Early 50s,but feel younger! Married to Malcolm for fifteen years, and living in Kilkenny, Ireland. He cycles, I run (a little!) and we both like travelling. We find hotels are very impersonal, and like to meet local people when we're visiting an area, so we thought we could translate that into helping visitors to Kilkenny to enjoy that aspect.
We've been hosting since May 2014, and have met such lovely people from all over the world. It's been fun!
Our home in the lovely village of Bennettsbridge is quiet, clean and modern. We love living here, as it means we are close to the fabulous medieval city of Kilkenny but still enjoy country living. Beautiful river walks, local crafts (pottery, candlemaking and more) and a really nice pub!
We look forward to meeting you!
