A Couch to Crash on in Bushwick

Apartment - Shared room · Irving Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11237, United States

The Space

Looking for a place to crash for a few days? Well I have a couch, well really it's a futon but it's very firm and comfortable. I share a large RR style apartment with one other Male and one cat. The Couch is in the middle of the apartment just outside my room and has bathroom that you'd share with me and the cats. So if you like cats and need a place to crash this may be for you.

You will be given fresh sheets, towels, a pillow and a blanket. The shower has good water pressure. We do spend time at home, but mostly in our rooms so you will have some privacy.

The apartment is located one block away from the Dekalb L stop, in Bushwick (20 min train ride to Union Square and very close to Williamsburg). It's about 5 blocks from the Maria Hernandez park where you can go for a jog, and there are a lot of Bushwick gems nearby. Another great perk is that the laundromat is so close it might as well be inside the building.

  • Yolanda's couch was comfortable and reasonably priced. Despite it's location in a communal area I felt I had a lot of privacy.  Yolanda is easy-going, direct, and a joy to chat with.  Her home is clean, quiet, and recommended for anyone looking for a low-key place to rest and escape the hustle and bustle of the city.

...and Gobo the cat is adorable

  • I had a great stay at Yolanda's place. Even though it is not in Manhattan, you have good connection by public transport and it's easy to get there. Yolanda was really nice and friendly and her cat was so cute. Although the room is not a private one, my privacy was respected and I felt quite comfortable. I can definitely recommend this place!

  • I stayed in Yolanda's place for 4 nights and I think it's the ideal place for those who want to travel NYC yet on a budget. although it's at Brooklyn, it is very near to the L train which takes you very fast to Manhattan. The couch was very comfortable. The cat Gobo was very friendly! As a cat lover, I'm totally fine with gobo around. Most importantly, Yolanda is a very good host. She helped me with a lot of things and I'm really very thankful for it.

  • Yolanda's apartment was comfortable to stay and convenient location. It's close to subway L line which goes to 14th Union Square within 20 minutes and easy to go both upper town and downtown in Manhattan.
The room was warm and the bed was comfortable to sleep.
Her cat (Gobo?) is friendly and curious. She scratched the bed sheet a lot but not my stuff...smart cat!
I enjoyed both Manhattan and Brooklyn area. Thank Yoanda and her housemate for the nice stay.

  • Staying by Yolanda (and Gobo btw) is just awesome. You guys will have the opportunity to arrive from JFK in a really short journey by subway and then to get to Manhattan in 20mins. The neighborhood is really nice, I mean people are really kind. You'll find everything you need just downstairs : laundromat, supermarket and many restaurants.
I enjoyed my stay in Yolanda's room and wish you to come there to feel this nice NY atmosphere!
The brownstone can be really hot in summer but there's a fan to feel better! Everything was really clean and Yolanda does everything for you to spend a perfect trip. And I did !
