This 104 year old (1919) quaint cottage is located in the heart of South Pasadena's Mission District, a 2 minute walk to the Metro Station. The neighborhood has been featured in many Hollywood films, TV shows & commercials. We have a "Walkability" score of 93 so you will not need a car. Close to train which takes you to Downtown LA, Arts District, Chinatown, Old Town Pasadena, Staples Center, etc. Walking distance to restaurants, bars, coffee shops, grocery stores, churches & schools

The space
We have taken a great deal of thoughtful time and effort to describe our property and what you can expect. Please take the time to read through this thoroughly before writing us or instant booking and asking questions that are covered in the material below.

The Cottage is behind a private gate. It was built in 1919 and feels like a Carmel or Laguna "vacation get away". It has its own yard with cozy seating areas outside with fountains. The living room has a large flat screen TV and hardwood floors. The main bedroom has a quality queen size bed and the living room has a double futon. The second bedroom has a twin size bed. There is a small office with a view of the common area for your use. There’s a laundry room with a washer/dryer. The courtyard has a large dining table with large umbrella that seats 8. There are 2 BBQs and high-speed WiFi. The Cottage is fully stocked with linens, all kitchen supplies, new appliances, dressing table and storage space.

We park both of our cars on the property. There is no room for tenants car’s but there is ample street parking.

There is a large EV charging station, including a Tesla Super Charger, 1.5 miles from the Cottage and another charging station in town, near the police station.

We also have another AirBnB unit, on the same property, that accommodates 1-3 guests and is also pet-friendly.

Guest access
You will have access to a washer/dryer inside the home, three flat screen TVs, Blu-ray player, high speed WiFi, two BBQs, refrigerator, garbage disposal, office & 2 bedrooms. The bedrooms have down comforters (we also have a down alternative). For those that like to bake or cook there is a full kitchen with anything you will need. There is lots of storage and closet space.

Other things to note
South Pasadena is located 9 miles North of Downtown Los Angeles and just south of Pasadena. San Marino is adjacent to the East. Parking is on the street. Parking passes can be obtained through the City Of South Pasadena’s web site.

Neighborhood highlights

The neighborhood is turn of the century and has been used to shoot many TV shows, movies and commercials. Our town has been labeled "Mayberry and Any Where USA or Hollywood's other back lot" by many because of the older homes and feel of the town and the industry constantly filming. Most of the homes are bungalows with their original character and we are right in the center of where there are many restaurants, bars & pub, yoga studio, coffee shops, post office, library, senior center, community center, the South Pasadena Farmer's Market, Mission Station Goldline Metro Stop, grocery stores and much more. During the holidays it is a perfect place for a family to stay while visiting their loved ones. It's also walking distance to over 30 Pokéstops for the Pokémon enthusiasts.

We were both born and raised in the San Gabriel Valley and love our town of South Pasadena. We are working professionals and enjoy Airbnb hosting as we live in the front house of our Airbnb. Our favorite places to travel in our Airstream are the mountains and beaches in California. Some of our hobbies are collecting Cast Iron, cooking Organic, sourdough bread baking, gardening, playing cards, and hanging out with our animals.
