Welcome to Rome
Balance B&B wishes you a happy holiday in Rome. And we will do our best to provide you with a pleasant and comfortable stay in Rome.
Balance is an economical and practical Bed&Breakfast. It is in the historical centre of Rome，near the Termini Station, and in the zone of monuments such as Colosseum，Piazza Venice，Trevi Fountain，and Basilica Santa Maria Maggior. Besides, it is close to the shopping street.
Furthermore，from the Balance ，you can easily reach the Leonardo da Vinci Airport （Fiumicino）and the Ciampino Airport ，the shuttle bus is the cheapest way . Although, there is a lot of public transportation，and you can find bus stops and subway stops nearby.
Rome BalanceB&B will be your most ideal living place in Rome.
It was very comfortable area, very close to Termini station. easy to reach anything you really need, a lot of shops around, restaurants (mostly chineese) We were walking all around by foot. So all over we liked our room, the only thing which was dissapointing, they forgot about out breakfast, and never left it in our room, and didnt organize a coat rack for us.
- Close to Termini (and thereby easy to take bus back to airport, or train to hit other cities)
- flexible check-in/out time
- Private bathroom
- Person who checked us in was not "Luna", but was courteous and efficienct
- Room was fairly clean, but sparsely furnished
Not so good:
- it had an unpleasant unidentifiable odour, (liberal use of bleach?)
- Mattress was old, so you could feel the springs
- Mattress cover was stained yellow - we slept with our clothes and socks on!
- Door lock was a tiny padlock with a latch - you could be locked in your room if someone put a lock on it
- There was only a flimsy hook to keep strangers out on the inside
- One could look through the keyhole and straight into the bathroom, we stuffed it with some tissue to ensure privacy, no big deal
Even though we got used to a different standards we found this accommodation OK - for anyone who wants to visit Rome and just needs to "recharge" overnight for another trip over Rome city. We did not experience problems with the noise (from the street) as the previous visitors. The only "negative" comment and the reason not to give 5 stars is that there was no window in our apartment and the door to balcony could not be opened. What was really exceptional was the service of the guy taking care of hosts in the period we were there - extremely helpful and approachable!!!
The room was adequate - simple and clean. Location nearby the main Rome train station was good. A bit noisy - it faced onto the main road, so you heard cars and trams passing by. The place is laid out almost like a hostel, so you hear quite a bit of noise from guests in other rooms - two of our three nights we had to ask people out in the main room to be quiet as they were making excessive noise for past midnight. The "breakfast" was a cup of coffee/tea (without milk, they told us it wasn't included) and a pre-wrapped pastry. Overall, okay for a cheap room to stay in. There is also a Rome tourist "city tax" of 2 euros per person, per night that isn't mentioned until you arrive either.
The reservation was canceled 21 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Luna's place was close to the train station which was great for us to get around town. The room was simple and clean, just what you need when you are out all day. The people helping Luna to look after the guests were very friendly and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
We were happy with our stay at Balance Nicely, especially with the location of the accommodation (a very short walk from Rome Termini station). The caretaker on duty most of the time, David (who speaks London-accented English, Italian and other languages that we can't immediately identify), was very helpful with tips and info about where to go for what and when. Luna herself was friendly too. Because for most of our stay we were out early and back late, we didn't get to sample the breakfast much, but when we did, it was simple and adequate to get us up and running. The room we got was adequate (two single beds, a table, a clothes rack, bathroom ensuite and a portable room air cooler), but only just so. The other things made it a worthwhile stay: the location, the host, and the low cost.
Great room very closed to the train station and colosseum. The hosts were extremelly friendly and helpful. Streets were very noisy but with the windows closed, you can't really hear anything. Would recommend this place to anyone travelling in Rome.
Luna's place is in a big town house. The rooms are good and very clean. The bathroom is small but not tiny either.
Luna's staff was very nice and accommodating. The breakfast is served whenever you like and the coffee was rather good!
The place is pretty close to many historic sites in Rome and has great public transport connections. Around it are lots of hotels, the shops and few restaurants felt very tourist-oriented. In the evening the streets were pretty empty.
We thought the place is good value for the money and felt welcome. It was a good base for our week in Rome.
