Located a block and a half from the main subway line in Los Angeles (the Red Line), its your best bet if you plan to use public transportation. Downtown LA, Hollywood and Universal Studios are all on the Red Line. The neighborhood has lots of good restaurants, shops and nightlife.
There maybe other rooms available if this one is booked for the dates you want, so please check the “My Other Listings” box in the column to the right.
Some frequently asked questions, and the answers:
Q – Are sheets and such provided?
A – Yes, bedding is provided. If you need more (say an extra blanket or comforter) just ask. We suggest you bring your own towels, though we have some available.
Q – Is it safe?
A – Yes. Your room has a deadbolt lock. The property is gated. The neighborhood is safe and well patrolled by the police. There are probably more people actually walking around this neighborhood than anywhere else in LA. One of the few places other than downtown where you will actually encounter a crowded sidewalk.
Q – Is it central?
A – Yes, kind of. Remember what Gertrude Stein said about Los Angeles “There’s no there there.” Well, it is still fairly true. LA is very spread out and not a centralized city: if you are close to one area, you are by definition far from another. The location is between Hollywood and Downtown and it is easy to get to either because of the nearby subway.

As it says in the description LA is super spaces out, so although it may not seem like it the accommodation is quite central. Rooms are not anything amazing, just comfortable.
Other people staying in house were lovely and everyone seemed to clean up after themselves. Kelly, the onsite manager, was great!
Thanks for our stay!
Everything as described! Perfect little oasis in downtown los angeles. Wifi worked awesome.
Clean and affordable - perfect for those traveling on a limited budget.
ryan and kelly are great hosts, very helpful and keen to make your stay agreable.
the room is as described
very good and quick wifi-features
The room was spacious for the 4 of us and the facilities were there. The property manager, Kelly was very prompt on contact. In all, we had a comfortable stay at the place!
Ryan and Kelly were very personable, communicative and reliable. I enjoyed my stay and would stay there again.
The communication was good! but the place was a little bit dirty. All in all ok
super location in LA. we loved to stay there while our vacation. our room was large with comfy beds and an extra room for our luggage. nice roommades from Oz and UK. the only thing that we missed was the toilet paper...only one roll for 6 guys...not cool BUT there´s a small supermarket across the street and they sell toilet paper. when we are back in la we would love stay another time at ryans house.
cheers from germany katrin and jana
The place is exactly like the picture, spacious with four beds.
It is extremely convenient (especially for people who don't have a car) as it is close to the Metro station. It is easy to go to Hollywood and Universal Studio.
The bathrooms are cleaner than the previous reviews have indicated.
However, the neighbourhood seems less safe than I expected.
I had troubles connecting to the wifi for 3 / 4 days, which was extremely frustrating.
But overall, considering the price you pay, it is a good deal.
Very sorry about the internet! We had a problem with the outside line and router and it took Time Warner 3 days to to finally figure it out and fix it. Note to future guests: we have now upgraded to two separate wireless networks using the newest Apple Airport Extreme routers. These routers can broadcast as 802.11ac, and our network is 20mbps upload and 10mbps download.
Reasonable and clean place at a very reasonable price in LA. Kelly and Ryan were easily reachable and very helpful. Market is close and easy to commute using local transport. Will recommend to anyone who want to be easy on pocket.
