A beautiful family home, equipped to a very high standard located in a charming neighbourhood called Inchicore. Our neighbourhood is well served by public transport and the bus will have you in the city centre in 15 minutes. Lots of amenities nearby
Located in the olde world community of Inchicore in Dublin 8, this home offers so much to any guest. We offer two luxury double bedrooms. Both rooms are very comfortable; with the beds dressed in Orla Kiely bed linen. In case you are a cold in the night, we will provide you with a hot water bottles and some extra blankets. We supply bath towels and we'll leave out some bottled water and shower products! There are two bathrooms in the house. One of the bathrooms has an electric shower, so you are always guaranteed hot water!
Our living area is a place where you can unwind and relax, please feel free to peruse our book collection which includes lots of travel books, put on a record of just watch some TV! Our living area opens out onto a deck in the back garden, which faces south west and catches the sun during the day - it is so nice to sit out, enjoy a coffee or a glass of wine. There is a BBQ available for your use, so during those warm and sunny days you can dine alfresco! Please feel free to make use of this beautiful space during your stay with us.
When we renovated our house, we upgraded the heating system - we have central heating throughout the house, so you can be assured of a warm and cosy stay! You can control the heating in each room so you wont be too hot or too cold. We also upgraded the alarm system and have a full alarm censoring system throughout the house. Although our neighbourhood is very safe, we want to ensure you feel really safe when staying with us.
Guests can use our washing machine and dryer. We will also leave our washing powder and fabric softener. We also have an iron and ironing board if you feel like freshening up your clothes! To reduce energy costs, we would encourage you to dry your clothes outdoors when the weather is nice.
Guests have access to the full house and back garden. This includes two double bedrooms, a kitchen, dining room, living area, 2 bathrooms and a garden. There is one small storage room that the guests will not have access to. If you are travelling with a baby, please let us know and we can make a beautiful nursery available to you. Feel free to cook in the kitchen, relax on the couch or chill out on our decking. the kitchen is excellently equipped; food processor, sandwich press, Kitchen Aid food mixer and a Nespresso Coffee machine. All the other usual 'kitcheney' stuff are in place; large fridge/ freezer, induction hob, microwave, oven, iron, board etc. The kitchen table comfortably seats 8 so plenty of room to enjoy your meals and our couch seats 9 so plenty of room to stretch out after a long day of sight-seeing! We have super fast broadband - the password in posted on the wall in the living area.
You will have access to the whole house as described above apart from one room which is used for storage.
The full house consists of:
2 bathrooms (one upstairs and one downstairs)

1 living room
1 outdoor terrace and back garden
1 utility room (washing machine and dryer)
Please let us know if you need a cot as we can make a small nursery available to you.
Interaction with Guests
We will be available to assist with any queries you may have during your stay. Once you have checked in and been familiarised with the area, apartment etc., we are then discreetly available if required.
We will supply lots of brochures and city maps about things to do in the city. Please feel free to borrow our Ireland Lonely Planet guidebook and Dublin street map during your stay and because its Ireland - we have lots of umbrellas at the ready!! ;-)
Our home is located in Inchicore, a historic part of Dublin. It is an area steeped in history and you will find plenty to do and see on the doorstep. You are approximately a 10 minute walk from top tourist attractions including Kilmainham Gaol, Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA) and the War Memorial Gardens. Guinness Brewery on James Street is about about a 20 minute walk. You can get to all of these attractions using the LUAS tram or bus. Phoenix Park is nearby - this is Europe's largest city park and home to the Irish President. The park can be enjoyed for picnics, strolls or even a run (if you are feeling energetic!). St. Patrick's Athletic, the reigning League of Ireland soccer champions play their home games in the village of Inchicore. The grounds are a 5 minute walk from our house, it is well worth walking down to experience the buzz of match day on the street and in neighbouring pubs. As well as all of these wonderful sights, there are traditional pubs, shops, cafes, restaurants, beauty salons, hairdressers on our doorstep. We are happy to offer you any recommendations and information about the wonderful neighbourhood of Inchicore/Kilmainham and the city of Dublin.
The house is located nearby the city centre and is really well served by public transport; approximately a 12 minute bus ride, a 15 minute cycle, a 15 minute tram ride, or a 45 minute walk. You are on multiple bus routes (no. 13, 68, 69), or 7 minutes walk from the red LUAS tram (Blackhorse stop) which serves the city centre as well as Dublin Bus Stations (Connolly and Bus Aras), Dublin Train Station (Heuston) and the O2 (a popular concert venue).
Heuston Station, Ireland's main railway station is 7 stops away on the LUAS tram, it takes about 15 mins by tram to get there. Heuston is a gateway to the rest of the country with rail connections to Cork, Kerry, Waterford and Limerick as well as many other destinations.
Dublin City Bikes have just been installed in Kilmainham and provide a really nice way to get around the whole city.
If you are travelling by car, you are also a 4 minute drive to the M50/N4 junction (Dublin's main ring road) and 20 minutes drive from the airport. There is free on-street parking right outside the house.
For guests arriving from Dublin airport, the special 747 bus terminates at Heuston Station which is less than 2.5 km away. You can take the red LUAS tram to right by our house. Our nearest stop is Blackhorse.
Most public transport stops at about mid-night, however on the weekends (Friday and Saturday night) there is a NiteLink bus service that operates. The 25n bus leaves Westmoreland Street in the city centre at 00.00am, 01.00am, 02.00am, 03.00am and 04.00am and will drop you in Inchicore Village, which is a 3 minute walk from our house. This bus costs €5 if you have a LEAP card or €6 if you pay by cash.

We can also give you details on the LEAP card, which is a travel discount card that you can use on Dublin buses and trams.

Rule number 1 - You must feel at home and relaxed when you are staying with us!! :-)
Just a few other things to note...
We don't allow smoking indoors, but feel free to smoke outside - we even have a smoking seat!
Check In and Out times are fairly flexible. We do work 8am - 6pm Monday to Friday so please just let us know as far in advance as you can and we can arrange a time that suits.
For safety reasons, we only accept guests that are included on your booking.
If you decide to use the kitchen to cook your meals, please tidy up after yourself - we have a dishwasher to make life easier!
Please be respectful of our neighbours and each others space.
Lastly, no pets allowed. We do love pets, but at the moment its just a bit easier not to have them about.
