Description

The space

A cosy house in a great location with an open, bright layout. The simple style lends itself to a relaxed atmosphere. Talking, reading and listening to music takes the place of watching TV (we don't have one).

As a guest, you'll get a
1) Spacious double room with cosy corner with a tree lined view
2) Your private bathroom next door
3) Landing leads out on to a flat roof with views over the Lough
4) Living Room with sofa that we only use occasionally

Our bedroom and bathroom is downstairs so you have a private space upstairs but the whole house is very open so it's easy to interact.

Parking is available on an adjacent road

If anyone would like to stay 6 nights or longer, we can arrange a discount. More photos to follow

Help yourself to Breakfast - good coffee, lots of different teas, muesli, porridge, fruit, natural yogurt. Just ask us if you need bread for toast or anything else (within reason)
You won't have access to cooking facilities but you're welcome to keep food in the fridge
Toiletries and towels all provided in your own bathroom
There is WiFi all around the house but we don't have a TV so evenings are usually spent out and about or just relaxing at home eating or chatting.

We've really enjoyed meeting hosts in different countries so we'd like to do the same in our home. We'll do our best to make you feel at home.

We both love food, lazy beers and long coffees and would love to pass on our recommendations for different places in Cork.

We both like to take in shows, events, food fairs etc so keep up to date with events going on in the city so we'll be happy to pass on recommendations. Let us know in advance if you have any particular tastes in food, music, theatre, activities and we'll check them out for you

We were away for the Summer so our most recent reviews are for our other listing if you want to check them out.

We charge less for weekdays as we are at work during the day, so there's less interaction

We're both professionals who have travelled using Air bnb and love using it as a way to get know locals and the area in a way that you just can't in hotels. We travelled in Asia last Summer and it was great to spend more time in less places to get a better appreciation of daily life. We hope we can help others experience the same in Cork

We both love good food and cook a lot at home. I love all sports but both of us enjoy running (no excuse with track around Lough in sight).
We look forward to welcoming our guests to Cork
