The south-facing, 2nd floor 1-bedroom apartment of an owner-occupied historic townhouse overlooks historic Union Square Park in Baltimore City. Located 2 doors from the author, H.L. Mencken's home place, the neighborhood is primarily residential , but very convenient to the Inner Harbor. The apartment has a full kitchen (with light breakfast items), historic details & eclectic furnishings. Street parking is easy. The space is good for couples and solo adventurers, and business travelers.

It is a great experience to stay in a bright urban apartment overlooking a lovely historic park.

Guest access
Guests have access to the 2nd floor front apartment via main hall entry & stair. The entry is off the second floor landing to the right. We live in the first floor rear apartment. There are two apartments on the third floor. Guests also have access to the back garden shared space and coin-operated washer and dryer in laundry room in the rear of the basement.

Other things to note
We maintain a kind, relaxed environment. All cleaning products are by Meyers and Bon Ami and are hypoallergenic. There are no plug-in fragrance dispensers and no chemicals sprayed in the garden.

Our black Lab puppy, Kali, & cat, Storm, live with us in our apartment. It is a separate unit and they do not access the main stair and entry hall.

While the location is right downtown, the immediate neighborhood is residential and quiet. It surrounds a lovely park with fountain and gazebo. There are restaurants close by, Zella's Pizza, Rooted Rotisserie, the Backyard and Hollins Market. Commercial districts & the Inner harbor is a 5-10min drive. It is a great place for people to visit who enjoy seeing our lovely historic neighborhoods. Checkout the neighborhood website.
