One week stay pack.
A cozzy 1K apartment in Sembayashi Omiya. One of 4 apartments located on the top floor of an 8 storey building with a wondeful view of Osaka Sky Line! Like a small penthouse!!
Located just 4 minutes walk from the subway, and 12 minutes walk from the Keihan train line. The apartment is fully furnished with a double bed (futon), fridge, microwave/oven, TV.
There is a small ensuite bathroom with toilet, basin and bath/shower. Also a small kitchen with electric hotplate. Small balcony with table and chairs. Washer/dryers are less than 1 minute walk from the apartment at the coin laundry.
The apartment is ideal for a couple, but a 3rd person can also sleep on a futon on the floor if needed but it would be a bit tight with 3 people. An extra person is only 1,500yen and we provide an extra futon and beddings.
Free protable wifi router that you can use all around Japan and 2 bicycles.
Besides of that, the basics that you could need in a house, shampoo and shower gel, towels, and kitchen stuff, tv, sleepers, air-con (hot and cold), blanquets...
Interaction with Guests
Early check in.
The check in starts at 15:00, any check in before that time is considered "early check in"
An early check in is mainly not possible due to the cleaning tasks and procedures that need to be done between guests.
If possible (no check out on your arrival day) an extra fee of 2000JPY will be applied if an early check in is requested.
Self check in.
After 15:00, anytime is good to check in, and it's a perfect option for those who don't know the specific arrival time.
We will visit you in the next days to ensure you are well and to answer your questions.
Once the booking is done, and close to the arrival day, an email is sent to you with all the information you need to reach the place and check in.
The route from your arrival airport or station, a walk path to the apartment and some information about the house rules.
Usually I will meet you on your check in time. To arrange this meeting is necessary you tell me your landing/arrival time to Osaka.
If due to circumstances we can't meet at the check in time, you have all the info you need to proceed with self check in.
Then, if it happens, I will go over later or the next available day for you and me.
During your stay I will be happy to answer any question you may have. Also, if there is anything you need, a problem shows up or you want to report anything, I will be available by mail, LINE, messenger, (website hidden) talk, Whatsapp and airbnb message service.
The check out is simple and doesn't need my presence. Just leave the apartment, in good condition, before the designated time and, if you want, send me a text to notice that you are ok and that everything was fine.
*SUBWAY: "Senbayashi Omiya" station of "Tanimachi Line" (4 minutes on foot=
*TRAIN: "Senbayashi" station of the "Keihan Line" (12 minutes on foot)
At less than 1 minute walk from a massive shopping arcade. The shopping street is one of the most famous in Japan, and is also the cheapest! It was opened in 1910, so has a very proud 100 year history...you can feel the vibe in the air as you walk through the arcade, and the cheerful locals calling out 'welcome!" This is a true example of the "real Osaka", the Osaka before skyscrapers, and a community determined to keep the "old Osaka" alive. The arcade is so popular that it not only attracts regular customers from all over Osaka, but also from all over Japan !
And when you need to see the skyscrapers, it's still only 5 miles to the center of Osaka :) 12 minutes by subway. There is actually a nice view of the city from the front door of this apartment as well!
You an find everything from fruit to flowers, bakeries to butchers.....probably about 150 stores line the super busy arcade. This area is well known for great quality produce and SUPER cheap prices. This location will really give you a good idea of life in a residential area, away from tourist areas, yet only 11 minutes (about 5 miles) to the heart of Osaka, Umeda.
Around the area- bakeries, cake shops, fast food (mos burger, McDonalds), izakayas (Japanese style pub), 280 chicken shop chain (everything on the menu, from chicken kebabs to beer, is 280yen!), cafes, convenience stores, post office, Japanese restaurants, Italian restaurant, Indian restaurant, 100 yen store, bento (boxed lunch) stores, pharmacy etc......everything within 1-10 minutes walk.
Right next door to the apartment is a "Yu" which is a bathhouse and is open until 2am. There are baths, saunas...and lots of good conversations to be had with the locals!

We had a great time at Sembayashi-Omiya! The neighboring area was really lovely and quaint with the apartment being a short distance to station it was quite convenient getting around to other parts of Osaka and day trips to Kyoto. We really enjoyed staying here and definitely loved the night sky view from the 8th floor!!!! Thanks for such a sweet stay Roman and Uri :)
Roman was not available, but his associate Uri helped to make my time in Osaka very enjoyable. The house is in a great location, very close to the subway where you can make your trip into the city in a very short time. The apartment was exactly as pictured. The next time I am in Osaka I would make sure to contact Uri / Roman again without hesitation.
Roman's apartment was amazingly comfortable! Nothing negative to note. Uri was very attentive and even offered assistance when my partner became ill! He tried his best to make our stay as comfortable as possible.
Although the apartment was situated some what further out than was ideal for myself and my partner, we could not fault the surrounding area. It does definitely provide an Old Osaka feel! We enjoyed the area very much, our favourite meals and restaurants in Osaka were actually down the street from the apartment! If you are after a comfortable and ultimate cultural experience I definitely recommend Roman's apartment!
We stayed here for 3 nights and would highly recommend it. We didn't meet Roman, but his associate Uri visited us shortly after we got there to make sure everything was okay. He was such a nice guy. he took us on a walk through the neighbourhood and gave us lots of recommendations, before taking us to a super cheap sushi train restaurant, which was awesome. Definitely can't complain about the hosting!
The apartment is well located, with lots of places to eat and get coffee nearby, and a coin laundry opposite. It has a great view of the city skyline. The only problem we had was with the portable wifi. It was really unreliable, and seemed to have trouble connecting when we were actually in the apartment. When we were out and about it was fine, would last for hours at a time, but then once we got home we would have to reboot it every couple of minutes. It was a pity because apart from that the apartment was great.
All in all we would still recommend this place! A good base to explore Osaka :)
The apartment was great. Small but cozy and amazing views. The neighbourhood was also really charming and we had fun exploring the cute cafes in the area. The apartment is really close to the subway station but we'd have had trouble finding it if some really friendly Japanese people hadn't offered to help us. Getting to use the wifi egg was a highlight. The only downside is the futon bed got a bit uncomfortable after the first night. All in all a great place to stay and I'd stay there again.
Beautiful and cosy home with exceptional views of the main city from the top level. Just a short walk down a busy street to home ! Would definitely stay again.
Good place to stay, clean and nice close to station. If i have a chance to Osaka again ,will back to S9 for sure.

Hello! I am Roman, and this is what I do:
I'm part of a team working in real state for years.
My responsabilities are the Airbnb activites. I manage the profile, guests relations, bookings, inquiries, etc... so I have the wonderful chance to meet you and share part of your time in Osaka.
I'm also in charge of maintenance and cleaning staff. Hence, if you ever find something to report, I'm the one you need to talk with.
You can also may have the chance to be assisted by Oriol, AKA Uri, one of my coworkers, who is in charge of some of the apartments. He's a great person, young, full of energy and knowledge.
I consider myself an open minded, and interested-in-almost-everything person.
I like travelling, and I did it a lot, so I understand how important is to find friendly people and a home all around the world.
I love taking photos, so I do it as a freelance photographer sometimes. I prefer social photography, and the human being is my favorite subject. Well, and landscapes. And cityscapes...
Since I'm living in Japan, for 5 years now, I practice Kendo. I like experiencing the traditions of this country while cultivating my body and my mind. There are a lot of interesting things to learn from Kendo.
I'm also a very accesible person, always ready for a chat and also for having a good time. If you wanna know more about the city or the Japanese society, or the best sushi place, just ask me!
I really hope to offer you a nice time here in Osaka.
