Beautiful area

Guests love this home’s scenic location.
Some info has been automatically translated.
This is a remote place for nature lovers or to stress down! Situated in the middle of a nature reserve, the guest house is at the edge of a forest and offers a view into the valley. You can experience the sound of silence, the whistle of birds of pray and the cry of the owl at night. The reserve is known for its large variety of wild life including eagles and some rare frog species. At night the stars are visible from your window. The nearest shop is 7 km away, 2 km to the next bus station.

The space
The space is a two floor open house, bathroom, kitchen, sitting area with fire place downstairs and sleeping and sitting area upstairs. The large window upstairs allows you a view into the valley, in spring you can watch the starlings feeding their young and in winter the stars and the moon.
We live in the house nearby but will leave you totally to it. In case you need anything, we will be available though.
We make our own jams and grow our own vegetables as much as possible. Talk to us if you are interested.

Guest access
Guest have their own outdoor space just opposite the entrance of the guest house with relax chairs, chairs and table. The covers for the relax chairs are found in the house under the stairs.

Other things to note
Please clean the guest house (including the fridge) after your stay. Cleaning equipment is under the stairs. You can also choose to pay 400 SEK upon arrival for cleaning.

The beds can be made into a double bed or can be used as 2 single beds.
Downstairs there is a small couch that can be made into a bed.

There is a small kitchen with a fridge.

Alert for people with cat hair allergies: We have four curious, very lovable cats ( Sammy, Yoda, Garfield and Spirit). They are not allowed in the guest house.

Where you’ll be

Ystad, Skåne län, Sweden

You will be in the middle of the nature reserve "Fyledalen". Depending a little bit on the time of year, you can easily spot a large variety of wild life.
The nearby village "Röddinge" is a typical "skånsk" village and very charming. There are several other nature reserves close by and accessible by walking or by bike/car.
A lake suitable for swimming is about 6 km from here. The distance to the baltic sea is only 20 min by car. There are several fantastic sandy beaches in the vicinity. You can get to Ales Stenar (stone circle) in about 30 min from here. We can also give you some local tips ;-).
We are at the border of "Österlen" a landscape famous for its beauty, artists and turism. You will find antique shops, cafes and all kinds of small boutiques. We can give you some recommendations upon arrival. Just as a small taste, in Tomelilla (7 km form here), there is a french cafe/boutique that makes the best coffee in the area, sells local delicacies and offers daily lunch. In St Olof, there is a vegetarian cafe and bakery. And, we have a favourite Sushi place in Ystad that does takeouts.

When we bought Nyvångshuset in 2008, the guesthouse was the "brygghus". We renovated it with a lot of love and respect for the old soul of this house, so you can find some of the original beams preserved. Apart from being a place where our friends and family can stay, it now more and more has become a way to share this magic place with other people, people who need to get away from the city, make a "screen detox", want to have a romantic weekend or enthusiasts who come to this valley especially for bird watching.
