The room was clean and neat, and Lily and her husband were personable and accommodating. It was our first time in Portland and they told us about places to go and things to do. The tea garden that the couple runs is a real treat -- relaxing and with an excellent tea selection. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this room.
Lily and Kevin were just perfect hosts!! They were so kind and very helpful. They even invited me to their wonderful tea shop. The tea was so good that I'd definitely come back have some tea again here!! There's a BIG tree in the garden and people enjoy chatting peacefully. We chatted and I played with their super sweet daughter and it was so fun! I strongly recommend this beautiful and comfy place to everyone:-)))
Lily was a great host and have a beautiful property. My only complaint would be the noise level. Other than that we really enjoyed our stay.
Lily and Kevin were very helpful when I arrived. It really is a beautiful yard that they have set up as a tea room/shop/patio. The room they have set up is great for the traveler who is coming and going. I'm used to the couch-surfing experience where you kind of think you're going to hang out with your hosts once in a while, and although that isn't the vibe I got, they were still very friendly. They have a business and a family, so I can understand. Kevin showed me the ropes and they were very open folks. I would definitely recommend this location.
We loved staying at the Tea Garden! Very peaceful and a great central location. Thank you so much for opening your home to us. I look forward to visiting again soon:)
Lily and Kevin were excellent hosts. The space was exactly as indicated: well kept and comfortable. They gave good suggestions for places to go in the neighborhood, and their tea garden is beautiful. I had never been to Portland, but really enjoyed walking around the neighborhood and especially walking up to Alberta street where there were many great restaurants / bars / coffee shops. Would definitely recommend, and come back.
