We love our tenants! If you need us, we are here for you. We also give you your privacy, so you have the best of both worlds!
There are so many things to love about our neighborhood and community. Bus access is super close and can take you as far as San Francisco, and to the next town over (13 miles) where there is a fun Six Flags park! Downtown Napa with it's local celebrations and festivals - like Bottlerock, The Film Festival, Porch Fest and so much more! Let's not forget the fab shops, world class
restaurants, and wine tasting spots that are within walking and/or biking distance. Oxbow Public Market and our Farmer's market shouldn't be missed. Within a matter of a couple of miles you are in the vineyards and out in the beautiful countryside....hot air balloons often float over our house in the early morning.....fresh lemons, tomatoes and various herbs are in our yard (help yourselves!).....what's not to love about all of this! We invite you to enjoy the good life with us!
One of the great features of our apartment/cottage, is that it is within walking distance to so many of Napa's great places! Our bus transit system is called, "Ride The Vine" ; you can look them up on-line to check schedules and routes. We have a stop super close, that can take you throughout the Napa Valley, to Six Flags Park in Vallejo, and all the way to San Francisco! Or if you have a car, it is only a 47 mile drive to "The City" (San Francisco) !
We live in a quiet family neighborhood. We accept tenants (minimum age 25 years old), that are quiet and respectful especially before 8am and after 9pm. This is a non-smoking, no drugs or parties and a no pet property. We are not set up to accept children, or the handicapped.
Our stay at Mary's cottage was WONDERFUL. She was so sweet and welcoming and made sure we were comfortable and felt at home! Mary even delivered warm towels upon our arrival and the little touches like the robes and fresh flowers throughout the cottage were much appreciated! Her place is adorable and decorated impeccably. It was the perfect escape and I would highly recommend staying here. We are looking forward to returning to Napa and staying with Mary as we would not want to stay anywhere else! The cottage had everything we could possibly need and it exceeded our expectations. We truly missed this place when we left and can not wait to visit again.
Mary and her husband were awesome- so accommodating and concerned with details and making sure we were comfortable. There was a slight calendar glitch and Mary was great about communicating that to us- no complaints, would and will absolutely stay here again!
We had a wonderful time staying at Marie's cottage in Napa. The location is perfect. It is in a cute neighborhood, a pretty easy walk to downtown and short drive to surrounding vineyards and towns. The living area is very comfortable with a cute patio, table, fridge, microwave and sink. The bedroom upstairs is comfortable, the bed however is a little soft. The bathroom is downstairs and the shower is quite nice. There is Satellite TV both upstairs and downstairs with premium channels.
Marie was very helpful with suggestions for places to have breakfast and dinner and wineries to visit. Napa itself has mostly recovered from the earthquake. There are a few buildings that are closed, but most of downtown is fully operational.
We had a lovely stay at the apartment which was charming, quiet and peaceful. Marie made us feel very welcome and gave us good tips on the area. We enjoyed taking dips in the pool. Very convenient location close to downtown and local cycling routes through the wineries and countryside.
Marie was very welcoming and genuinely excited to have us! She showed us around the cottage which was very charming and exactly as it is described. Marie gave us local restaurant suggestions and made sure we knew she was available for any questions, concerns and suggestions. The cottage had everything we needed and then some. Marie thought of all of the little details that make a stay comforting and special, leaving little vases of fresh cut flowers all around, plenty of fresh bath towels and pool towels, written instructions for use of the television as well as leaving a list of wineries and restaurants for our perusal. It was quite hot during our stay but there was an oscillating fan for the downstairs and for the upstairs, which is the bedroom, there was a fan and a wall air conditioning unit which cooled the room down perfectly every night, with the door closed and we slept comfortably. We had a great time and would definitely stay in this cottage again!
Must love dogs, as Marie has a sweet little dog named Jackie who greeted us most days which we loved. Just added to the charm of it all!
Everything about our stay was an absolute delight. Hands down THE BEST Airbnb we've ever stayed at.
Marie is a wonderful homemaker and went above and beyond in order to make our stay amazing. For instance in every room there were cut dahlias and roses. She's also great fun and full of amazing advice (and (website hidden)!) about Napa.
The cottage is ideal; own entrance, kitchen facilities, shared (beautiful) pool (though we never got round to using it!), and best of all a tandem bike for you to cycle into town on. It's also incredible value.
We hope to stay in touch and return to this beautiful part of the world. Don't stay anywhere else in Napa. Seriously.
LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!
My husband and I absolutely LOVED our three peaceful days at Marie's cottage! Marie was so friendly and funny we felt immediately comfortable, and her little dog Jackie is ridiculously cute. The cottage is private, beautifully decorated and actually a little bigger than I anticipated. The A/C in the bedroom kept things cool and comfy and the kitchenette was ideal for toast and tea in the mornings. We were crazy busy with a wedding weekend so we didn't get to use the tandem bike but we did jump in the pool each afternoon, which was a treat. We really look forward to staying here again and riding along the river to the cute downtown (which was just a few minutes drive away). Can't recommend this cottage and our lovely hostess enough!
