This beautiful and spacious Garden apartment takes up an entire floor of our 1880s brownstone. It has its own backyard which is great for summertime bbqing. The backyard/garden is shared with me and my family - if you plan to have an event in the backyard please contact me ahead of time to coordinate.
Our building is only two to three stops from Manhattan via the 4, 5, and F trains, and a couple of stops from Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Compare this to other Brooklyn apartments that are half an hour or more from Manhattan. We are also only steps away from Pier 6 where you can hop on a water taxi into the city or Governor's Island, play some beach volleyball or walk down the promenade. Easy access to Grocery stores for food shopping and other daily amenities as well.
Cobble Hill is a great neighborhood bordering Brooklyn Heights and Carroll Gardens - all of which are filled with quaint and award winning restaurants (Sushi, Thai, Irish pubs, Americana you name it), shops, French cafes and parks. Admire the 1800s architecture as you stroll through this historic neighborhood - you may even decide to spend the day exploring this area rather than venture into Manhattan.
The apartment has a queen bed with a memory foam mattress top, a comfortable gigantic sofa that is large enough to seat 4-5 or sleep one comfortably, two brand new LCD TVs with DirecTV, a kitchen with stainless steel range and new cookware, original hardwood floors. We know you will enjoy your stay here with us!

Law (Keow) was a wonderful point of contact for this cozy, warm, and spacious apartment. We stayed for 8 days and I texted her anytime we had an issue or question (which was rare.) Full kitchen, which we used to cook up our own meals after spending all day in the city. 15-min walk to the metro; we went to the one on Carrol Street and 0.7 mile to Trader Joe's which we frequented. Lots of restaurants and cute shops in the area (Court Street.) Close to the highway, but noise was NEVER an issue, as the insulation in the apartment kept it quiet. The mattress is super comfortable as promised and the water was nice and hot when we needed . Was very very happy with our place: cozy, clean, spacious, and great amenities.
My in-laws had a pleasant stay at Keow's apartment. It was spotless and comfortable, surprisingly quiet and cozy. Keow was very accessible and communicative, flexible about an adjustment in our travel plans and helpful in showing us how the television worked. Good experience, all around.
The reservation was canceled 15 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Clean, quiet and spacious apartment despite freezing conditions warm and cosy. Owner lives in the same block and is extremely helpful. On leaving the flat we felt we left a friend behind. Highly recommended and we hope to return.
Keow welcomed my girlfriend and I to her beautiful home. The apartment was well furnished, had a big comfortable bed and was warm throughout the day. It was almost too tempting to stay in bed all weekend and watch films.
If you're looking for a convenient, affordable, spacious place to stay in Brooklyn, look no further. This lovely apartment offers plenty of space (a rare thing in NYC!) and is just a couple blocks off the main drag in Cobble Hill, giving you quick access to wonderful restaurants, shopping, and nightlife. Despite being close to the highway, it's incredibly quiet within the apartment itself, and very comfortably designed with TVs throughout and plenty of relaxing room. The bed is super-comfy, too! And Keow was a perfect host; she even gave me a ride to the subway at the end of my stay so that I didn't have to drag my suitcase there. Highly recommended.
This was our first stay with airbnb and Keow could not have made us feel more at ease. The apartment was very clean and very quiet, exactly as advertised. We have family in nearby Carroll Gardens, it was an easy walk to their place or the subway. Thanks Keow, we'll definitely be back to stay again!
We found Keow's apartment really spacious&well equipped.Very cosy as she advertised it to be.There was a fully equipped kitchen plus plenty of towels, hairdryer &everything you need for a pleasant stay. The apartment also had the advantage of having a ground floor private entrance,so it was like coming back your own place.Keow was very helpful with all our questions&(website hidden) was only 3 blocks from Smith Street, where there were lots of bars&restaurants, really handy.Plus we were only minutes away from the subway which would take you to Manhattan in less than 10 minutes.on the whole,it was a wonderful place to stay.Felt like we were living in Brooklyn!!!Can't wait to go back!!!
Just came back from a fantastic week at Hick Street. The place is as absolutely as decribed-cozy, clean, and well presented. We had our 17 month old daughter with us, and she had plenty of room to run around and explore on those lazy mornings. The location is perfect, with a multitude of great restaurants, bars and shops on Court Street and Smith Street. I couldn't believe how quiet it is given how it's just next to the BQE...I didn't hear a peep. The bed was particularly comfy which was a bonus as the three of us were sharing it. Really well stocked kitchen with anything you might need to make a meal, and a lovely garden space which we didn't use but was nice to look out on. Highly recommend it and will be coming back!
This was our first time booking with AirB'n'B and we weren't entirely sure how it would work out. From check-in to check-out, the entire stay was great. Keow is courteous, friendly and helpful. The lovely garden apartment is well kept, comfortable, and just about as quiet as NYC apartments get. The location is ideal, an easy and pleasant walk through brownstone-lined streets to the F train, the ferry, cafes, restaurants, shopping etc.We will definitely be booking with Keow again.
