The Space

Lovely and romantic loft on the 3rd floor (NO LIFT!) of an old building of the 1600'S. The apartment is located in the heart of the Trastevere district, the most charming area of Rome, perfect position within walking distance of every point of interest in the city, only two steps away from Piazza Trilussa and Santa Maria in Trastevere. 10/15 minutes walk from Campo dei Fiori and Piazza Navona, 25/30 minutes walk from the Vatican City.

Trastevere is the historical center of the downtown Rome. Night life, restaurants, trattorias, pubs and pizzerias can be found in every corner.

The place has 1 bedroom with double bed, 1 bathroom with shower, living room with a sofa bed and single bed, kitchen, lovely terrace with panoramic view.

It is a beautiful place to stay, all wooden like in a mountain cottage, with a working fireplace.

  • Trastevere was amazing! Such a charming area with little cobble-stoned streets, lots of outdoor dining, cafes, bakeries, boutiques. The loft was charming, and I especially love the view on the terrace! It was worth The area has very small streets, some are pedestrian only and some are one way... could be a bit challenging to get to the apartment; there are lots of stairs, essentially 5 floors climb since there's one floor to get to level 1, and then once you get to the apartment door on the 3rd floor, there's one more set of stairs to get to the actual living space of the loft. However, for us, the climb was worth it for the view and feel of the place. Ingrid was great. She was attentive and responsive. We forgot to bring adapters for our electronics and she gave us two to use and keep as we traveled to our next destinations within Europe!

  • I spent a weekend with my parents and the place was as great as you can see in the pictures, but watch your head! some corners might appear unexpectedly due to the distribution of the house. I recommend specially grabbing something to drink and spend an evening at the terrace chatting, as the neighbourhood is so lively you feel really into it. Ingrid treated us very well and helped us storing the luggages. An option to come back, specially for young people who want to enjoy Trastevere's nightlife.

  • What a lovely stay we had at Ingrid's loft. Travelling to Rome with kids of 10,12 and almost 14 is perfect to combine culture, history and joie de vivre. And what a nice place to stay - just perfect for our family. :)

The location could not be better. Such a lovely, lively block with an endless stream of osterias, shops, enotecas and gelaterias. If you have difficulties sleeping it may be too loud during the night time but we were too exhausted to be bothered and slept like babies! Also there was Wifi to keep the kids silent in the mornings. Literally everything is in walking distance. We visited all the main sites of Rome by foot and not once took a taxi/metro/bus.

Ingrid was there waiting to welcome us with a big smile as we came. She had organised our smooth travel from and to the airport in advance and provided us with a list of addresses to make sure we get to know the local secrets. On the last day, she kindly kept our luggage at her apartment until it was time to say goodbye to Rome.

Everything we needed was right there in the apartment including an espresso machine :) and when we ran out of milk for the latte macchiato, the shop to get more is right at the doorstep and further five steps away, one of the best bakeries to fill our breakfast table.

Every square centimeter of the apart is put to use - no lost corners even if there are many of them but mind your head for low ceiling! Bathroom was clean and big enough to get a refreshing shower before hitting the streets again. Kitchen had all the utilities we needed, although we made full use of local restaurants for all our lunches and dinners. The apart was big enough for 2 adults and 3 kids - adults in a separate bedroom and the kids in sofabeds/exra bed in the living area.

Yes, be aware: the apartment has a lot (!) of stairs but all well worth the evening glass of wine on the roof top terrace. For us the number of steps was not a problem. There seems to be a parallel life going on at the roof top level in Rome whichever direction your eyes wander! The destination is romantic enough as it is, but for Ingrid to go to the extremes of hiring a couple kissing for hours on end on a roof ridge some houses away for our last night in Rome .... ;)

Perfetto - we shall be back!

  • My wife and I stayed here for two nights in May and absolutely loved every moment. The location in Trastever cannot be beat, as your less than a minute walk from the best bakeries, cafés and restaurants Rome has to offer. On top of it's location, the feel of the apartment was so authentically Roman that we quickly believed we belonged in the wonderful city. Ingrid was
extremely helpful in welcoming us to Rome and directing us on our adventure. We'll most certainly stay here again when we return to Rome.

  • Ingrid was an excellent hostess/contact as far as quick response time and a can-do attitude. The apartment is in an excellent local neighbourhood in Rome, convenient to everything and very walkable to sites.
Please keep in mind that from the bottom floor it is about 75 steps to the former attic apartment. I found myself not wanting to go back up those stairs more than twice a day and I am in relatively good shape. Also the apartment itself has some inconvenient and in my mind not safe little steps. There is also loud partying that can be heard until about 2am.
Having said all that, I would rent from Ingrid again, but not this apartment.

  • Ingrid is the best host I could have ever asked for! My experience in her apartment the first time was so magnificent I decided to book again for a few weeks later. Any question or request I had was addressed immediately. The apartment is so cozy, felt like home! Very clean, gorgeous wood floors, comfy bed, fully equipped kitchen for cooking, even an espresso machine! Not to mention the rooftop patio with a gorgeous view of Trastevere. The location is perfect--next to delicious and popular restaurants and cafes (there are also bars in the area so it is a bit noisy on weekend nights, nothing to worry about unless you're a very light sleeper). Pay attention to the guide she leaves with her suggestions of places in the area, they are great! I will be staying at this apartment whenever I'm in Rome and suggest it to anyone looking for authentic Italian experience in luxury.

  • We had a lovely time in Ingrid's appartment in the heart of Trastevere, Rome. The appartment is exactly as described, it's cute, cozy and there is everything you need. It's very nice that basic things for cooking (olive oil, salt, pepper, ...) are already there. The view from the bedroom-window and, of course, from the terrace is absolutely amazing. All the major sites are within walking distance and in the evenings, Trastevere is where you want to be. Ingrid is a lovely host and we would definetely try to book her appartment again if we go back to Rome.
    Thanks for everything!

  • The host was amazing! Ingrid is hospitable, very warm and kind person.
She has waited for us at 23:50 when we did the check-in (not trivial for airbnb scenario ). On the day of the check-out she let us leave out baggage at her place till the evening and waited for us.

The apartments is located in a great location, in the center of Rome nightlife area with many pubs & restaurants, walking distance (10-15 min) from the main attractions.
