This house was wonderful and the host was incredibly accommodating. She gave us all of the information with ample time, was very flexible with changes, and was friendly every step of the way. The beds are gigantic, the kitchen is a lovely place to hangout, and the shower is absolutely legendary. Honestly, the shower is like standing in heaven's waterfalls. I would absolutely stay here again!
Great space exactly as described in a great part of town. Neighbors in the building were very accommodating and helpful. The apartment was very clean comfortable. I'd definitely stay here again!
We were a family of three in Brooklyn for the holidays to be near our son and brother. Great location and easy arrangements for entry and exit. Nice layout and fixtures. Sophia is very nice and responsive. This unit has a lot of potential. With a little more elbow grease for cleaning and newer bed linens, towels, and more coffee mugs, it would be a gem.
We were three couples in NY for a long weekend. Check-in was easy; the key is in a lock box on the doorknob. The location was fantastic. We enjoyed several small, friendly restaurants in the neighborhood; there were lots more, as well as a bagel bakery and coffee shops. The train to the city was a short walk away, as was the Music Hall where we had tickets to a concert. Plus we found a parking spot in front that worked all weekend-- but you'll have to watch the street cleaning times.
It got the job done, and we had a great time, but this is a no-frills Airbnb apartment -- three small bedrooms with okay beds, a kitchen area big enough to hang out in (but no living room), and a small bathroom with a good shower. We never met Sofia or Peter, but, after we emailed, someone came by with a small French press coffee-maker while we were out.
It was great to have the big-screen iMac and wifi -- but only 3 coffee mugs? Also the apartment would benefit from a good cleaning; the $100 cleaning fee should at least get the floor washed.
This apartment is all about location -- and the three bedrooms, which aren't easy to find in that area. We gave it four stars overall, but it's probably really 3.5.
I give this apartment 3 out of 5 stars. The pros were the awesome location and that Sofia was super responsive, available for questions, and accommodating with us with dropping off our luggage early so that we didn’t have to lug our stuff around Brooklyn while waited for check-in at 3pm. The cons were that there was some confusion about the apartment address, photos, and how to access the space. It seems like Sofia/Peter haven’t updated the info on airbnb so in half of the emails I got one address and on the other half I had another, and the photos of the apartment are a bit different from the actual apartment. We were worried when we arrived that we were in the wrong place because there was old food in the fridge, a load of dirty dishes in the dishwasher, empty bottles on the counter, the floors could have used a mopping, and the stove/counter was full of crumbs…not awesome. The apartment itself is pretty sparse and super poorly constructed – definitely seems like they threw up some cheap walls to make 3 bedrooms so the walls are paper thin and allows for zero privacy. The one bathroom was fine but the shower water was often cold and didn’t drain well so that felt a little grimy. The one bathroom has the only mirror in the entire apartment; we were there for a wedding so six of us trying to get ready with one small mirror was a challenge. I would recommend this place only if you don’t plan on hanging out there much and are solely looking for a good location in Williamsburg.
The place was really nice. Everything was clean and ready when we got there. Building was safe. Overall perfect accommodations.
The apartment is perfectly located in beautiful williamsburg. The house is new but seemed a bit unfinished - as well as the apartment itself. We didn't meet our host, but she was easy to contact. Overall it felt more like a hostel than staying at someones place.
