This is my favorite review so far. I'd like to address each of Shant's points so that I'm not accused of further restricting his experiences.

1. Tre made it very clear that we couldn't have any people stop by the house.

This is true. It's written clearly in my house rules. It was written for a reason. The reason is personified by Shant and his friends, who were swiping through "Tinder" while on vacation across the country. For those that don't know, "Tinder" is an online dating platform that matches users for casual dates. I had a feeling that the ladies that Shant and his buddies might attempt to woo with their flat bills and tank tops weren't the most upstanding of citizens, so I took it upon myself to gently remind them of the rules. Again, if you're reading this and plan to bring girls (or boys) you meet on Tinder back to my condo, please don't rent my condo.

2. When we entered the apartment we were told we'd have to remove our shoes before stepping on the carpet.

I have the carpet and floors professionally shampooed and washed after each guest. I live a block from the beach and getting sand out of carpet is a huge pain in the butt. For this reason, I asked Shant and his group of gentlesirs to remove their shoes. I do this for every guest, no offense to your high tops, buddy.

3. Next, I get a text from Tre asking if we've been smoking at the apartment. We had a few cigarettes out front and these seemed to bother the neighbors.

Again, clearly written in my house rules, right under the "No Tinder Dates" clause, is a line that says "No Smoking." Apparently, when Shant rents a place on Airbnb, he makes the rules. I should have just changed my listing title from Luxury Beach Condo to Shant's Luxury Beach Condo. Anyhow, my two upstairs neighbors are elderly and frequently have their grandchildren over. They have asked that my guests not smoke on the patio, as cigarette smoke doesn't magically turn into pixie dust, it becomes second hand smoke that travels upward. When Shant and his buddies started lighting up cigarettes, the smoke traveled upwards, injecting carcinogens in Mrs. Ethel and little Timmy's air. I sent Shant a friendly reminder via text and he rectified the situation. Clearly, he was sad he had to walk less than a block to smoke cigarettes at the beach :(

4. Oh, the fridge was full of his food and alcohol and all of the dressers and closets were full of his clothes.

This is also true. The fridge is full of food and drinks that all my guests are free to consume. You can even wear my clothes! I believe in the sharing economy, I just ask all my guests to pay it forward.

Anyhow, Shant was correct in stating that I go to my girlfriends house, but I am proud to have a girlfriend (that I didn't meet on Tinder) and I love spending time with her when guests arrive.

All in all, I feel bad that Shant felt so restricted from violating my house rules. Hopefully he is doing well smoking cigarettes and swiping through tinder looking for new friends.
