Really very cool experience. Aaron and Mary couldn't have been more hospitable and have created a serene quiet, comfortable retreat. Breakfast at Gramma's down the way, fabulous coffee and cinnamon rolls. We even experienced one fantastic storm that rocked the island, but our room was a 'safe haven'. Fantastic bed, very cool Ritz bathroom. Thanks again Aaron & Mary. Looking forward to seeing you both in Santa Barbara !
Craig and Kim were from one of the most interesting kind of people group.....worldly, visionary, clear, kind, easy going, and with impeccable manners.....really hope to see them again.....in Maui....SB...LA...NY...Paris.... very inspirational and (email hidden)eat Aloha from Mary and Aaron....
Mary and Aaron were very accommodating - they made sure to have towels (for the shower and the beach) and a coffee machine, their fridge was stocked with yogurt and juice; there were flowers in the room. Their garden is lovely and private - chickens and roosters roam around in the mornings. The area was beautiful - standing in the garden you can see the ocean in the distance. Up the street is an amazing ranch where we had the best horse-back riding of our life! Parking was very easy - either in the driveway or across the street.
Room was great, loved the Ritz bathroom & the location was a perfect. Cool at night which gave us an opportunity to sleep in. Very peaceful & quiet but still not far from Makawao for dinner & drinks. Hoping to be back. Great host/hostess. If you would like to top of your trip book a massage with Mary. Highly recommend. Hope all the little chickens have survived.
Charming suite with lovely hosts who really care. This was the perfect escape. The bed was comfy and the immaculately clean suite had all the amenities we needed. Mary was so kind to give recommendations of things to do in the area which really made our trip special.
mary and aaron have a nice place with gardens at about elevation 3000 feet; cool nights, pleasant days at 75F. upcountry is informal and residential; makawao is about 15 minutes away and has food, shops and wifi at the bistro. bed is comfortable, sliding door opens out to a garden.
no kitchen privileges but you have an icebox. room is attached to their house, not freestanding. all is quiet and peaceful. it takes about an hour to get down to la perrouse beach, and about the same for lahaina depending on traffic. paia is 20 minutes. quite nice for a single guest or a couple. sandy
Lovely room, very clean, well-appointed and furnished. The king bed was extremely comfortable. Very restful setting, friendly and caring hosts. The extra touches made this a real winner.
