The happy camper was great! Everything was as pictured and described-super clean and so cute. The check in was a breeze. We didn't see our host, but she was perfectly communicative. The area is close to downtown-not super walkable, but a close ride or a longer walk away. Bonus super sweet cat that hangs out back and loves humans! Would stay again and recommend.

We enjoyed our stay at the Happy Camper! Everything was clean and exactly as described. Check in was very easy and Angel was a super quick communicator. We didn't end up meeting her but I have no doubt if we'd needed anything she'd have been right there. The trailer is definitely "urban camping" but it was really fun and a cool experience. The AC works great and the bed is comfy with super soft sheets. The bathroom was clean and the outdoor shower was pretty fun too! The neighborhood is pretty quiet but the yard is next to a fairly busy road, something to keep in mind if you're a light sleeper (I'm not but my fiancée is, otherwise I probably wouldn't have even noticed.) East Austin is cool, with lots of funky dive bars and an awesome 24 hour coffee shop around the corner (Already forgot the name but it started with a B). Not super walkable to downtown or 6th but Austin Rideshare is awesome and it was only about a 10$ ride to get to the center of everything. Our favorite thing was the tomcat in the backyard, he was very welcoming and adorable! Very cool experience, would totally stay here agin!

Such a perfect spot: both close to everything you want to do in town, and just far enough away to get some peace and quiet. Also, major shout out to the outdoor shower. Felt like camp!

This place was so lovely. Private camper and private bathroom. Very serene. The camper has all the amenities you need and the outdoor shower is absolutely wonderful. Definitely would recommend.

Everything about our stay went smoothly thanks to how thoughtful a host Angel is! The room had everything we needed for a night including a fridge to keep all of our many many leftovers in, A/C that worked great, a bluetooth speaker so we could watch a movie on our phones before bed, and of course the outdoor shower. Also the bike loaners were huge so we could get into town and bike along the river. I highly recommend this trailer.

Great stay for one night! 20 minute ride to Austin airport at 3am. The outdoor environment was super pleasant to relax and read in the quiet & warm afternoon. The cat on site is also a great companion if you are traveling solo. He'll definitely say hello! I played a little Al Green on vinyl to help soothe the soul~

Angel's place is perfect to get a real East Austin experience! The RV is like something out of Pinterest. I think our favorite part of the trip was waking up to sunshine streaming into the RV. Also, the outdoor shower is nothing to be afraid of! I think I now prefer showering outdoors haha. You have everything you need here! Do know that you won't be experiencing hotel-level accommodations. Bugs may appear but it is not a big issue. I think the imperfections of the RV and outdoors add to a much more memorable experience! Also, Angel always responds quickly to any questions. We were so lucky that this place was available for our spur of the moment Austin adventure. We will miss the neighborhood cat. Definitely would book again!

I love sharing my home with friends and strangers alike. I've lived in Austin for 13 years and am happy to point you to spots off the beaten path (Cathedral of Junk) to the sparkling jewels in the middle of the city (Barton Springs). I'm a User-Experience Designer for a Clean Tech/Energy Management start-up. I love the challenge and rewards of conserving in all aspects of life. I enjoy bike riding, brewing and drinking craft beer, gardening, petting my chickens, sewing and DIY projects, seeing live music, traveling, and eating great food. I've only been to 13 countries and 25 states. I most recently spent a few months in Hawaii living off grid on a living farm that is doing reforestation on the Big Island.
