We had an incredible stay in the happy camper. Incredible location, easy to uber, bike, or walk to the city. Bathroom was clean, outdoor shower was incredibly relaxing. Will be back
The happy camper is exactly how Angel describes it. It's actually more spacious than I had imagined too. I'm 6'2 and I was able to stand up without hitting my head. The neighborhood is great and add only a $5 uber ride to downtown. Her outdoor shower is absolutely perfect and the patio is great for relaxing and having a break from walking around the city. She was super accommodating to us and we can't wait to stay again in the future!
Super helpful and great space! Instantly responded and was super friendly. Highly recommend it for a cozy, unique experience.
I had such a great stay in this little camper! I was traveling for work and this lovely camper and yard was such a great respite. Everything was clean, comfortable and beautiful. I walked and used Uber to get to and from without any trouble. Expect a 30+ minute walk to get to E. 6th and E. 7th or downtown. I loved having a chance to see a bit of the neighborhood, but others may want to consider a bike if you aren't driving. All in all, I had a great stay. Thanks, Angel!
oh, the happy camper. how i love thee. cute and simple and tiny and just what we thought it would be. love that it was instant book--we were in kind of a pinch and wanted to explore the east side. the happy camper fit the bill. parking was easy and just outside the gate, which made it easy to run back and forth to the car if we needed stuff. everything we needed was there and it was very easy to live camper style. in terms of location, just be aware that you might need a car or use one of her bicycles to get from place to place. or uber, which we did several times and it was very very easy.
The camper is a cute and cozy place to stay for a solo traveler. I put Jimi Hendrix on the record player and cracked open a Lone Star beer from the fridge upon arrival. The outdoor shower is nice in warm, calm weather, but a bit uncomfortable when a breeze comes through...

About the Host, Angel
I love sharing my home with friends and strangers alike. I've lived in Austin for 13 years and am happy to point you to spots off the beaten path (Cathedral of Junk) to the sparkling jewels in the middle of the city (Barton Springs). I'm a User-Experience Designer for a Clean Tech/Energy Management start-up. I love the challenge and rewards of conserving in all aspects of life. I enjoy bike riding, brewing and drinking craft beer, gardening, petting my chickens, sewing and DIY projects, seeing live music, traveling, and eating great food. I've only been to 13 countries and 25 states. I most recently spent a few months in Hawaii living off grid on a living farm that is doing reforestation on the Big Island.
