THE PLUS :
Claviers is situated on the crest between the Côte d'Azur and the Verdon.
the house has a serene and good energy.
If you wish to experience a glimpse of life in a small French village, then a stay with Ghislaine and Norbert in Claviers is the perfect choice and fully lived up to our expectations. Unfortunately Ghislaine was called away by a family crisis, but Norbert looked after us perfectly. Our room was sooo beautiful, we fell in love with the village, and one of our highlights was Norbert teaching us to play patanque one evening - with more laughter than technique on our behalf!! His knowledge of the area was a great help for our two days of sightseeing, (although driving on the 'wrong' side of the road was a challenge for us Aussies! ) and the spectacular Gorges du Verdon are an easy drive from the village. Many thanks Norbert for making our stay such a pleasure. Sue and Robert
Hello Sue and Robert,
I am glad you had a lovely time. Once again, I am so sorry I couldn't be there.
What a great experience to drive on the wrong side of the road! and play Pétanque with Norbert.
Norbert enjoyed meeting you.
Warms regards from us and thank you for you appréciations.
Our stay at Claviers at Ghislaine's B&B was absolutely enjoyable. A nice room, well-taken-care-of breakfast, nice environment and an excellent location. Ghislaine offered also very usefulinformation about tips for the surrounding area.
I will for sure go back!!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Chislaine's house.
Both Chislaine and Norbert are fantastic hosts, who made our 3 days in Claviers a delightful experience.
Chislaine is incredibly charming, helpful, seems to know everything there is to know about the region and has a great sense of humour :)
Pastissoun house has been restored with a lot of love and tastefully decorated, preserving the character and history of the place.
Room was impeccably clean and very comfortable.
Should you want to meet someone who really knows Provence, don´t miss Ghislaine! We were given a complete overview of surroundings and very good tips for our trips for the whole week having spent in France. Moreover, Ghislaine is very very kind and treats you perfectly! Whole her house and apartment for guests is very decently shaped in colours, smells and tastes of real Provence. We were welcomed with lighted candles and so far as it was our first experience with Provence culture and environment, we were in fact happy it was Ghislaine, who introduced us. Highly recommended! :-)
We had a great three day stay with Ghislaine in Claviers. Her house is beautifully renovated and the guest room has an amazing view of the valley but more importantly she is a fantastic host. A lovely person who had good ideas for places to see and things to do. Also, the design of the house means you don't feel like you are living in each others pockets. Delicious breakfasts too! We would definitely go back. Thank you so much for a fantastic stay!
We absolutely loved Ghislaine’s beautifully restored home just steps from the village square in Claviers. Ghislaine was a kind and generous hostess in every respect. Her insights to village life in the Provence were both invaluable and entertaining. She guided us to special places in the surrounding countryside and introduced us to interesting friends in the village. We received a friendly “bonjuer” from practically everyone we passed on the street. To us, these four days were the most authentic and enjoyable experience we had during our two-week visit to southern France. Viva Jean Jacques!
What a great stay we had in Ghislaines beautiful bnb. He house is in the nice village of Claviers. Very central to exploring the many sites of the surrounding area. Ghislaine was so accommodating and she has such a vast knowledge of the local area. The room was very clean, very quiet and with a new bed which made for excellent sleeping after some big days exploring. Breakfast was fresh and presented with obvious care. Many thanks again Ghislaine for opening up your house to us and we enjoyed our conversations over breakfast and an aperitif in the evening.
And what a great guests you were.
It was a great pleasure having you and I had a lovely time sitting with you at breakfast and having our morning talk.
I wish you well till you get back home to New Zealand and send a kiwi Hello from there when you return to that part of the world.
Thank you again.
It was very interesting and nice to stay in this little old house. We had a very good time and Ghislaine was a perfect host. She gave us a lot of insider tips so that we were able to see many beautiful places in the area around.
