We have just arrived home from a wonderful six days at Christina's apartment in Uzes. The apartment is wonderful - well located and very well appointed with many nice decorative touches. The view from the private balcony is spectacular while all of the lovely cafes and restaurants are within a five minute walk. The free public car park is also nice and easy to get to.
Christina was a great host and was very responsive to any questions we had.
We would not hesitate to recommend this apartment as a place to stay in Uzes and hope to return in the not too distant future.
We had a wonderful week in Christina's apartment in Uzes. Perfect location, lovely terrace and well stocked kitchen. Christina very contactable and was very helpful with all of my annoying questions. Highly recommend this place.
Christina made us very welcome. She was flexible for check in time and showed us how the appartment worked. Everything was very clear and straightforward.
This is a lovely appartment, typical of Uzes. The little terrace has stunning views across the valley and gave us much pleasure to sit out and enjoy the May sunshine. The sitting room has a high ceiling and a nice atmosphere, likewise the bedroom is comfortable and light. There is a new kitchen and bathroom, with all the amenities you would expect in a home. We felt very relaxed and happy here.
We know Uzes well so the neighbourhood is familiar to us. The appartment is on the 'ring road' and very close to all the restaurants and shops, which is absolutely ideal. There is usually space on the road to drop off your shopping but guests are well advised to use the large ,car parks ( we use the underground parking) which are only a few minutes walk away. We thoroughly recommend Christina's appartment.
The flat was lovely with a nice rustic character. The outside balcony had lovely views too. Christina was very helpful too with useful directions and information provided to us beforehand. The flat is nicely located being near the center of Uzes, although there was a bit of noise from being near a road and rubbish recycling bins. We had a nice holiday.
I have just returned from a week staying in Christina's apartment with my boyfriend and we are both feeling very relaxed and missing the view from the terrace already. The apartment was great. It had everything we needed when we wanted to stay in and cook dinner ourselves. Perfect location in the centre of Uzes- a short walk from anything you could need. Christina was a warm and welcoming host, leaving us with a complimentary bottle of wine, checking in with us during our stay to see if we needed anything and patiently waited for us and directed us when we got a little lost on our way there. We came to Uzes as we were invited to a friends wedding and thought it sounded so lovely that we'd stay and make a holiday out of it. I'm sure i would probably have known about this place without the invite but I would go back again in an instant- rich food, fantastic wine, great markets and very close to the Haribo museum! Thanks Christina.
Overall, we were very impressed with Christina's apartment. It's very centrally located, very well kept and it has truly magnificent views out over the valley. It came equipped with most of the basic things we needed for our holiday (oven, toaster, wireless etc.), and is within five minutes walking distance of several supermarkets and boulangeries, as well as an excellent swimming pool. It's also only a hop and a skip to the central square, full of restaurants and bars. Christina herself was an excellent host. She met us on arrival, gave us the basic rundown on the apartment and was generally very helpful. The only small quibble I would have is the apartment's proximity to the rubbish / recycling point. Collection occurred every night but one, and it did wake me. That said, it was easily solved with a set of earplugs, and I wouldn't let it put me off staying there again. Well worth a visit!
Christina's apartment in Uzes is nearly perfect. The town is lovely and the apartment is conveniently located near its center; it is also a short drive to many vineyards, medium-sized towns, and larger cities. The apartment had everything one needed to be comfortable (bathroom looks like it was recently remodeled and kitchen is fully stocked) and the view from the terrace is exceptional. Christina herself was friendly and helpful, mostly leaving advice in a booklet in the apartment. Our only complaint was the bed -- we both found it quite uncomfortable (after a night my husband switched to the daybed in the living room which was more comfortable, but he is quite picky about these things) and the headboard creaked with every move unless you put a pillow between it and the wall. Even with this flaw, we would probably stay in the apartment again if traveling in the area.

About the Host, Christina
Quite nomadic from way back, I adore traveling and moved about a lot prior to choosing France and Uzès as a more permanent home.
Love it here and enjoy seeing visitors falling under the spell of our little town.
I do believe that I am in a good position to advise and help anyone staying in my apartment in our delightful small town in what is now, my 5th adopted country and the one in which I have lived the longest.
Frequent get-aways are still on the books however, wherever and whenever.
