I showed up in not the greatest of spirits after a hot, long 9-1/2 hour trip from LaFortuna. Nelson and Willy were super upbeat and promised I would fall in love with Nosara once I got settled in.
Willy offered me some fruit infused water, Nelson showed me to my tent... (freakin' killer setup!) and, long story short, they were right.
What makes this place different? A huge workout floor, free workouts and yoga with really innovative people (and I'm in the fitness industry), and a big, open kitchen/hangout/dining area that allows backpackers, budget travelers and more high end travelers to mingle and get to know each other without feeling "categorized". The workout area also seemed to attract a lot of like minded people, and I met some really unbelievably awesome people during my stay.
I loved the tent on the platform, it had a fan and mini fridge and it was very cozy.
Really cool layout and amenities. There's an open air kitchen and dining area that's really nice and they give you your own food locker in case you were looking to cook. Edie is an amazing host. Overall, its a great place to stay for the price. I initially passed by the turnoff a few times, so look for the sign with 'Jungle' on it and make the quick turn.
It is exactly what you see on the website! If the pool is not available, you will get a notice so you can still cancel or change your booking! You can do yoga classes, jungle fit, surfing and so much more!
We had our own car and stayed in the tents for 4 nights, the only thing we missed was a light in the tent.. The big fridge was the biggest we have had so far and it's in the tent front! The bed is really comfy, and you have a lot of options to cook your own meals. The shared bathrooms are the cleanest shared bathrooms I have ever seen.
Edie is a lovely person, will do so much to make you feel welcome.
Try the Italian place 2 minutes walk from there, we loved it! And the supermarket is a 5 minute walk the other way.
Nosara itself is so chill, especially if you like surfing.
Thanks for the great stay and Edie, enjoy the wedding and dress shopping ;)

Unfortunately I was only able to spend 2 nights at the Jungle Huts, but I could have easily stayed much, much longer. The grounds are beautifully manicured, the bathrooms are clean, showers are hot, and the cooking area is also very handy (they let us use their spices to cook as well). Also, if you hang out at the pool you can see howler monkeys jumping in the tree branches below. Edie was also great, and very helpful with local tips. Hope to be back soon!
We stayed 2 nights in a Jugle Hut. De hut was veel confy and even had a fridge. The showers were very clean, warm and nice. If you want to cook yourself there is a cookingstation in the mainarea.
But you can also order breakfast or (email hidden)ey also offer yoga, tours, bikes, surfboards etc. It's a 30 minute walk to The beach but you can also get there by car. It's a good place If you travel on a budget. Everybody of Jugle Edge was veel nice and helpfull!
I spent 4 days at Jungle Huts and enjoyed every minutes of my stay in the charming camp Edie and David created. I was there to improve my surfing skills and found everything I wanted to achieve this goal : David, Edie's husband, is a great teacher, super experienced, very professionnal and efficient. They also offer a ton of activities and delicious meals at a very affordable price. I would recommend anyone to try a Muay Thaï class with Drew; it's fun and such a good workout.
