Interaction with Guests
As we live in the main house we are there 90% of the time if guests need anything.
Ballygarrett is a small village situated between two larger holiday villages. This makes Ballygarrett very appealing as we have both the secluded beaches of Old Bawn and Cahore and the amenities of the larger villages of Kilmukridge and Courttown. We are within 20mins drive of Gorey which boasts many fantastic restaurants shops and a weekly farmers market. Wells House is nearby for Clay Pigeon shooting, Falconry, Archery and much more. Ballygarrett and the local area has recently been used to film "The Sea" written by John Banville. "Saving Private Ryan" was filmed in Curracloe Beach a short drive from here. Wexford Town which hosts the International Wexford Opera Festival is about a 40 minute drive.
You will generally need your own transport to get around the area. However there is a frequent bus service to Dublin from Gorey and there is also a train from Gorey.

About the Host, Edel
I moved to Ballygarrett from Dublin 8 years ago. My husband Jim and I have 3 boys. We live in the house in Ballygarrett and converted the space over the garage into a one bedroom loft apartment for visitors. We have a red cocker spaniel called "Arthur". I was born and lived in Dublin up to moving to Ballygarrett and can provide my guests with valuable information on how to get around the city. Jim is a keen cyclist and is a member of Audax Ireland. He will be able to give you cycle routes around Wexford and other parts of Ireland. As we live in the house we are always at hand for any queries.
