Manalo street is lined with restaurants where you can eat. PPC Airport is also close where you can actually walk if you don't have a heavy baggage. The neighborhood is residential but safe during day and night. There's a security guard on duty from 8pm to 8am.
MultiCab and tricycles are the most common means to get around Puerto Princesa. As in Manila, jeepneys usually have standard routes which they ply. Tricycles on the other hand are fairly limited to certain areas and would not be able to go very long distances. Standard tricycle fare around the city is 7-8 pesos per person.
The bus terminal is located a few Km outside the city centre. A tricycle from the station to the town centre should cost around 50Php.
For touring, it would possibly be a good idea to arrange special transport whether it be a jeepney or, for more comfort, air-conditioned vans or AUVs. This way, you will not be subject to the hassles of public transport availability.

Great place to stay! Very good price for the great room you get, with good airco, great breakfast, Nice host May, and a lovely shower!
Definitly would book again!
Perfect little stay for us as we stopped through Puerto Princesa. Only stayed 2 nights but would have happily stayed a little longer. Good place to base yourself for day tripping around the area or pre and post airport stops. Clean. Icey cool (website hidden). Nice breakfast. Places for dinner walking distance or super cheap to grab a trike home afterwards if you prefer. Helpful and welcoming hosts. Exactly as described. Also a great help in arranging our day tour of Honda Bay and our onward travel to El Nido. Much appreciated :)
The place was as how it was advertised, no pretenses made. The neighborhood was okay. The place was near food establishments that one can go to riding a tricycle. The hostess was amazing. She attends to our needs very prompty. She even arranged for our tours. Nice breakfast as well!
The place wasn't hard to find, it's actually near the airport. The people at the hotel were warm and hospitable. The room is clean and neat. The place was overall quiet and safe for me. Even the guard was very accommodating. The people from the hotel even helped us book a tour. The breakfast was ok. The wifi is a little bit slow. But overall our stay there as fun and safe. My boyfriend prefer to stay in a place like that instead of big hotels because in guesthouses such as the butterfly totem because the place isn't crowded and noisy and the staff can accommodate their guest faster.
We had an oke stay at BT. What was really nice was the way they make contact and make you feel at home. They are really friendly and helpfull!
What dissapointed us a bit was the breakfast. Reading the other experiences from airbnb guests we got the impression the breakfast was great. It really wasnt special at all. Besides that i would recom!
