La vivienda era muy acogedora, todo en orden. El anuncio era tal cual estaba en la web. Sobre el barrio, ningún problema. Hemos pasado un grato momento en Venecia
Myself and a friend spent a great few days in Venice staying at Nicola's apartment. Was exactly as described, great room and kitchen with everything we needed. Location was perfect, very central but on a quiet street so not too noisy at night. Nicola was a great host even though he wasn't there much he made sure we were taken care of and provided a breakfast for us each morning. Would highly recommend.
Great room with an amazing view! Nico was very accommodating, easy going, and overall a wonderful host. I will definitely book with him again next time I'm in Venice.
Nicola's place was located in a great section inVenice, walking distance to everything! Me and my girlfriend truly enjoyed our short but sweet stay. Although the room had no AC Nicola provided us with a fan and the open window allowed for a nice venetian breeze. I can recommend Nicolas place to anyone that is looking for an economical accommodation in an already very costly, but beautiful city.
Greetings from Florida
This apartment was in a great location; very convenient to everything. It was a nice place. Nicola left us a bit of food in the fridge.
Unfortunately, it was stifling hot inside (we stayed in early August) even with a fan inside our room. It was just blowing the hot air around. There isn't enough of a cross breeze in the layout of the apt, so because it was a the top floor, the room was always hotter than it actually was outside. It was really uncomfortable. We wouldn't book again for the summer months. Just to note, if you have a lot of luggage with you, there are 88 stairs to climb ( a bit steep). You may or may not be sharing the flat with another guest (kitchen/bathroom). The host is also in the flat, but he has is own private quarters.
Our interactions with Nicola were polite and perfunctory--very brief.
Dear Joann, thanks for your review. During the weeks you were in Venice it was truly exceptionally hot, but that's not the usual weather for all the summer months (luckly!).
Just to be precise, I do NOT live in the flat. I have my own complete flat which is just aside the one I rent, so I come there only for cleanings and tidying up.
We so enjoyed to stay at Nicola's place. He takes such a good care of it, one can see that he puts his heart into it. He also took good care of us, making sure that there's always something for breakfast in the fridge and that the apartment is clean. The place is close to everything and at the same time quiet and cozy. There's some flights of stairs to climb up to the apartment, I took it as a good exercise for my legs.
Nicola was nice and willing to accommodate to the crazy arrival/departure schedule my boyfriend & I had when traveling to and from Venice. The room was as pictured. There are other rooms down the hall that may be inhabited by other travelers (I assume) and the bathroom is shared with anyone else who may be staying in one of those rooms. The location was really great and the view from the window was quite pretty. My only complaint would be that, although there was a bidet in the bathroom, we could not find any toilet paper in the bathroom. This may not be an issue for some cultures but my boyfriend and I are used to having toilet paper also. There were a few area that were a little dusty and we did encounter a strange and rather large bug (a "house millipede" a believe they are called) on the ceiling of the common area, but those things were very minor and the stay was overall very pleasant.
... Oh yeah, and *LOTS* of stares to get up to the room, but good exercise for your legs, right?!
I would recommend this place to a friend.
Thanks Nicola :)
