About This Listing
My cozy 3-floor house is placed on top of the Etruscan walls of Cortona, at the edge of the historic center, on a very quiet and characteristic street. It can accommodate up to 4 guests. I hope you will enjoy the stunning view on the valley beneath!
Immersed in the Tuscan countryside and surrounded by the picturesque streets of Cortona, my house is the perfect place to relax. The house has 3 floors and consists in 2 bathrooms - both with showers - 1 bedroom, 1 room for reading and chilling out with a very comfortable, double sized sofa bed, and 1 living room with open-style kitchen and fireplace. Furthermore, there is an outdoor area in the back facing the valley beneath that can be used to accommodate a small table or just enjoy the sunset. The house can cozily accommodate up to 4 persons and every room is extremely bright.

I am sure you will love the place as much as I do!

Interaction with Guests
I will be welcoming you at your arrival, and I will be collecting the keys as you depart. Of course you can feel free to call me if you need advice or anything special!
Cortona is a small, ancient, and charming town in the Tuscan countryside. There is plenty of museums and historical places to visit, as well as renowned restaurants, wine bars, and characteristic shops.
The house is just 200 mt away from Cortona main square, where you will be able to find everything you need.
Cortona is well connected by bus and train to the towns nearby, all worth a visit: Arezzo, Siena, Castiglion Fiorentino, Lucignano just to name a few. In the surrounding area, you have the possibility to visit thermal baths, the Trasimeno lake, Valdichiana, Valdarno and Casentino valleys, and many other places - just ask and I will be happy to give you some advice!
The closest city is Arezzo, that is also well connected by train to airports in Florence, Milan, Bologna, Rome, Pisa.
If you come by car, you can easily find parking places either 150mt or 300 mt away from the house.
Other Things to Note
Since it is a 3-floor house without an elevator, my accommodation is unfortunately not suitable for disabled persons.
Just try to have a delicate and respectful touch!
Ester greeted us with a warm welcome, fresh fruit, flowers, and wine-welcomed us to our temporary home in the charming city of Cortona.
Ester took great care in showing us around the home and where to find everything we might need.
We found this home to be the perfect spot for our first trip to Italy, It had everything we could possibly need and then some. The home is decorated with such care and detail that we felt like it was decorated just for us.
There is a large master suite with windows that look out onto the rooftops of Cortona and a window in the bath and stair way that give you a spectacular view of the valley below. The main floor area has all the comforts needed, comfortable seating by the fireplace and television, as well as a nice dining area inside as well as out. We enjoyed several meals from the well equipped kitchen, and watched the morning mist, and the evening sunset from our outdoor seating area, so thoughtfully placed.
The town itself was amazing. We met some lovely people and ate at some of the best restaurants we have had the pleasure of dining in. If you want help with your Italian...just ask, they love helping you learn the language. In the main Piazza you will find, Cafe's for your morning espresso and delectable pastries, and markets with fresh meat, cheese, fruits, and veggies....and of course delicious Cortona Sangiovese, and Syrah!
If you want a true Tuscan experience, away from it all, this is the place to stay. We will be back again soon!

Ester was incredibly welcoming. She has thought of pretty much everything her guests would need. The listing is also so quaint with beautiful views. When there was trouble getting warm water in the bedroom on the lowest floor, Ester responded to the message and had a plumber come over and fix everything (we were not at home) in less than a couple of hours. Superb service at a beautiful listing. The best airbnb (out of the 5) we stayed at while in Italy. Book this listing!!
Cortona is an amazing ancient city! Ester provided us with lots of suggestions for good walks and other sightseeing activities and we enjoyed our time there very much The house is beautifully decorated, pristine clean and very charming - so authentic that we almost started to feel like locals. Just one tiny surprise was having to pay for heating which was quite expensive and not mentioned until our arrival. Apart from that, Esther was a lovely host and provided us with a lovely warm welcome.
Posto superlativo, accoglienza veramente all'altezza.
Our family of four had a lovely stay in this charming home! My boys loved it so much they requested to move-in!
Ester was prompt on meeting us for check-in and check-out. She provided us with great restaurant feedback. Her home is decorated so nicely and it is super clean. My husband and I enjoyed a glass of wine outside the front door overlooking the valley. Outstanding views from this home. Thank you again Ester for a wonderful relaxing weekend in your home.
About the Host, Ester
I was born in Tuscany. The beauty of my land taught me to appreciate harmony and its history forged my interest for other cultures and other people's stories. I love art, literature, cinema, music. I love traveling and getting to know new countries and different lifestyles.
It is the greatest of pleasures, for me, to welcome my guests in my house, to take care of them and advise them on what to see and what to do. I like the idea of sharing my books, the objects I love, the silence of Cortona, the view on the valley and all its ever-changing colors. Each guest leaves a piece of themselves and of their story in this cozy place and I am left with one of the most beautiful of feelings: having opened my house to an entirely new world.
