Response from Tini:

Great positive review about the Jungalow:
- a note about the River down the steps, with sandy place where to have a dip and refresh
- Sounds of the river and crickets from the jungle
- distance to town estimated to 12 Min (Jonas was using rollers...)
- the quiet and peace a bit away for 'hectic" Ubud in full High Season
- large spacious kitchen great for 'Pasta Dinners" and tea time
- praise for the cleanliness and great service by kind hearted House Keepers
- good price
- all in all: happy and satisfied.
So are we indeed!

The JUNGALOW is located overlooking the Ayung River Valley, and as mentioned in the listing,
there are steps, we advise to remain focus, yet nothing athletic, we have installed railings all along, we just advise to remain focus.. .
One Guest, 64 Yrs old lady said: "I took it as my daily yoga"... enjoy this!

Positive comments like this are of course much appreciated -
The fact that it "makes you sleepy" because it is "THAT cozy" might simply come from a deep feeling of relaxation, specially after a busy and stress full time at work in one's own country.. Breathing & enjoying the view, taking walks, hearing the traditional Gamelan music in the far and feeling the quietness of it all brings that sense of profound relaxation in contact with the surrounding tropical nature.
James also mentioned that he "loved the ambience of the room.. the interior is very beautiful, and the details well thought of", as he is himself an artist, a photographer, we trust his sense of aesthetics is sharp and demanding.
Happy he found a restful time at the TREE TOP NEST JUNGALOW. Come back again any time!

Terima Kasih, Thank You, Gracias and Merci.
Brief Review that reflects the guest:
easy going, kind and positive.
In spite of the fact that we could not provide the iron he requested, Ricardo remained cool, never grumpy, never complaining. We of course offered to pick up his clothes and have them ironed at our Laundry service. Yet he told us to not bother.
We are sure that even in a crumpled shirt he stil looked handsome, hehe..
Come back any time, Ricardo, we are investing in seven irons, one for each house... ~;+)

Response from Tini:

Following a "Sustainable Home" training taught by a foundation concerned with eco-awareness solutions and attended by our employees, our intention in diluting our soaps (hand, kitchen) and cleaning materials is meant to have a lesser impact on the environment. We also buy concentrate cleaning materials in soft pouches to keep packaging disposal to a minimal. Diluting soapy products is meant to limit toxic, harmful waste in our homes as it runs down to ground water, rivers and streams. This is what drives us as Bali is facing challenges with the increase of tourism.
We also kindly request our guests to be conservative with the use of water, a very precious resource here: underground water tables are threatened by excessive pumping and lowers by 1 meter per year, following recent surveys scientifically done by the University of Denpasar.
Switching off lights and fans before going out is another small gesture to show awareness towards the environment as the island has limited resources. Reason why we have no AC, preferring a set up that allows a natural cooling breeze.
We recycle metal cans & glass bottles, sorting them in separate bins.
We support the Association “Say No To Plastic!” and "Peduli Alam", recommending our guests to use the spring mineral water from the dispenser rather than buying single-use plastic bottles;
we encourage you to use a fabric bag (provided) when going shopping better than bringing back more plastic bags, hard to dispose of..
These are just a few of the daily practices we apply, on a modest scale but we believe every small gesture helps.
BkFast: our guests come from all walks of life, some want pancakes with maple syrup in the morning, Asians like rice and dry fish while others are on a 'detox' and prefer green juices...
We have now opted to provide a 'western' style breakfast: Bali grown coffee, two varieties of teas, Javanese cacao, Milk, brown sugar, Eggs, bread, australian butter, Home made fruit jam, cereal mix - with the option to get 'extra foods' like bacon, cheese, ham etc - upon request.
Food: (veggies, fruit, drinks) is found in small 'warungs' and local market from 100 to 500M away; restaurants like "Warung Madé" and "Nasi Ayam" (6-700M away) offer meals with fresh grilled fish or chicken, served with rice and vegetable at unbeatable prices around 30K Rp (2.5USD) - also many higher range places are near-by, like Four Seasons, Food Court at Bali Wood, Amandari, Pita Maha, Alila, Kupu Kupu, etc.
Thanks to the "excellent descriptions" indeed, our Folder in the apartment is full of contacts for all styles of Food Delivery from raw, vegan, Western, Italian pizza, Japanese to... tropical fruit sherbets. One call away.

The TREE TOP NEST 'JUNGALOW" is 3.5Km away from Ubud.
There are 4-5 local restaurants, with prices from 25K Rp, like "Made's Warung" and "Nasi Ayam", besides places where to dine at higher range resorts (Four Seasons, Pita Maha, Kupu Kupu, Amandari, Sayan Terrace.
We also provide menus and contacts of food delivery services that are very convenient.
Thank you for acknowledging that our place is "very clean" thanks to our two House keepers who pour in their efforts and sense of organisation.
