Pete was the perfect host - very hospitable, knowledgeable and friendly. His apartment is gorgeous and the private room is perfectly located in the center of town and has lovely views of the Rhein river. Each morning Pete made me breakfast and was extremely patient with all my early morning requests. The room is spacious, immaculately clean and really comfortable. I'm looking forward to visiting Basel again!
Pete was great. His place was clean and stocked with useful items for travelers. The river view was spectacular. The sound of the river put me to sleep. His place is a great deal for the Basel area. I am fortunate I stayed at his place and not some bland hotel. You are in the heart of the city and can get a real local's perspective from Pete.
As we expected, we had a very good experience in Pete's house. He is a kind and hepfull host. He prepares a very good breakfast.
Pete is a great host. I look forward to my next chance to stay at his place.
My host at Riverview made me feel at home immediately and the room I stayed in was everything and more I had hoped for. For example the Rhine really does flow past the window.. not just a view in the distance.. and it really is at the centre of Basel! Pete was helpful and friendly in every way and my overall mark for him and Riverview is 10:10 !! Excellent is the best word for it. Only down side was that I had to leave again.
Pete's apartment is spotlessly clean and the large comfortable bedroom has impressive views over the river. Despite the central location the area is quiet at night and conveniently located to explore Basel, with a tram stop right outside the door.
Pete is a helpful, engaging and interesting host. Over a relaxed breakfast, Pete spent time acquainting us with the locality. His local knowledge provided an extra dimension to our brief stay in this delightful City. This was our first AirBnB booking. I highly recommend Pete and his apartment to you. Thank you for an excellent stay.
About the Host, Pete
Welcome at Basel, Switzerland
I'm a Swiss, retired and enjoy hosting guests at my place.
I will do my best for your assistance on your trip.
I grew up in Basel, so I am a real local guy.
My favorite travel destination is Asia , but I've been visiting, Europe, East Africa and South America too.
Because I traveled a lot I have definitely a global perspective on things and I know what guests need in a new place.
While I was traveling I had the opportunity to stay with friends, relatives and just friendly and hospitable strangers. Now that I'm settled in Basel I finally can give something back and share my accommodation and provide the experience that made my travels unforgettable.
I can't live without world music, books, healthy food, open air activities, like mountain hiking, kayaking and biking.
