The Space

NOTE: we offer a 2nd bathroom and 2-Bed SUITE for $120 per night.. ask for details.

This spacious home offers 3-4 bedrooms to sleep 10 + people, 1-bathroom. Perfect for a multi-family vacation or reunion. The house features a large kitchen and living room with gas fireplace and a partially stocked kitchen which accommodates dining for 6, plus seats 6 in formal dining room. The 3rd floor offers 3-twin size beds, and kid's recreation room (Enjoy foosball, drawing table, radio and TV). 2nd floor offers 3-bedrooms; 2-for adults (Full-size bed in each), 3rd bedroom has multi-sleeping capacity including; 1- Full, 2-twin, 1-single and 1-bunk. We also have 2-nice blow up mattresses for your use (1-queen and 1-twin size), which is located in the closet along with additional pillows, blankets and sleeping bags. Please note the house was built in 1869, its quite charming and we have done many upgrades to the first floor. Although you can enjoy modern day living, the house only has one bathroom, and doesn't have central heating. It might seam odd or inconvenient if compared to newer homes, but it's Maine, its the way it was back in the day. Its pretty easy to manage if you remember your on vacation, and then relax and enjoy your time away from the rush back home. Please note in the winter months, we provide a space heater in each room. with the door closed it gets quite toasty and very comfortable. We also have a living room gas fireplace and wall mounted units for added comport. and plus we have plenty of throw blankets for cuddling : )

Guest Access

You'll have the whole house, 3-floors. The house is right near downtown in the heart of Bridgton. We hope you leave your car parked, because you can walk to the beach, or the main street (RT-302). Bridgton is host to so many things to do Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall; fishing, boating, canoeing, golfing, antiquing, shopping, downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, sledding, tubing, snowmobiling, too much to list it all.

Enjoy the house as if it were your own. call / text me anytime if you need something, and I will do my best to arrange what you need or tell you where to find it. Also, if something is broken or missing.. please let me know, and I'll get someone right over to address your needs.

The Neighborhood

You can walk to everything, Highland Lake beach and boat launch ramp, which features swimming at a sandy beach, playground and picnic area plus restrooms. bring your boat, launch at Highland Lake boat ramp. Stevens Brook Trail is right across the street, walk down to trout fishing. We love animals, but we cannot welcome pets... sorry. Central to so much within a short walk. We hope you enjoy the great location. Feel free to use what you need from partially stocked cabinets. You can purchase what we don't have at Reny's or other local stores; Food city, and Hannaford's or just go to the Variety store and Big Apple store / gas station at the end of the street (Big Apple has everything; juice, milk, coffee, drinks, beer, wine, food, groceries and prepared foods).

Getting Around

Again go for a walk; lake beach, theatre, shopping, stores etc. Bridgton is host to so many things to do.. more than I can list here. Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall. Always a fun place to take the family. fishing year around is the best both lakes and streams. Call Uncle Lunkers for fishing bait and tackle (tell Larry Charlie sent you), he'll give you the scoop on fishing tips and fishing derby's for kids and adults. boating, canoeing; many lakes to choose from or walk to Highland lake. 18-holes of professional golfing is just down the street, and tennis, antiquing, shopping again walk to many shops by the theatre in either direction, downhill skiing at Shawnee Peak (night skiing is awesome), and hiking. plus North Conway NH has Brenten woods and Attitash and Sunday River is also close by. Apple picking, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing at 5-Fields Farm. take a picture of a moose, its worth $500 bucks, dog sledding events at the same place. Snowmobiling; Bridgton is within a 600-mile groomed trail system that connects going north. The walking trails behind the Magic Lantern Theatre are great. And of course The Magic Lantern Theatre is open with the latest movies, and a huge screen TV pub (great for watching sporting events). Hunting, Hiking, Tubing. Basketball, and ice skating at the recreation center. You can also go indoor swimming. Ever go to a Drive-in Theatre? Bridgton has one. How about old fashioned home made meals, go to Ricky's Dinner tell em Charlie sent you.. you'll get the most warm welcome from the wait staff.

Other Things to Note

Please take your shoes off when you come in the house. leave them by the front door entrance you'll find a carpet, and closet, which provides lots of space for shoes, boots and to hang jackets.
