  • We had a wonderful stay with John and Brenda at the Sierra Mountain Lodge. The room was lovely and comfortable and the breakfasts yummy, but best of all were our hosts who made us welcome in their home. Very helpful and friendly and gracious. We enjoyed meeting them and their family and felt right at home. We definitely recommend this stay to anyone planning a visit to Yosemite. Thanks Brenda, John and Amelia.

  • The place was great. The nature around it absoutely gorgeous. Brenda was a perfect host giving good advice about things to do around. The room was spacious quiet andcomfortable. The decoration in the little garden around the lodge is realy cute and gives the place a serene atmosphere. It is quite close (60 to 90 minutes) to Yosemite park by car for great hikes.

  • We had the best stay at this lovely lodge! Such a beautiful location and the best breakfast. We got great advice for our Yosemite visit and it was really easy to communicate with the hosts and arrange our visit. We recommend everyone to stay here!

  • Brenda and John were great hosts! Be sure to chat with them to get some insight in lesser known trails at Yosemite.

Entrance to the park is about a 1 hour drive and from there about another 45 minutes to Yosemite Valley. It's a beautiful drive and you are so excited to come home to the quiet and relaxing cabin.

They have everything you need in the cabin or the lobby and my group and I had great cell service. We can't wait to come back!

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this sweet B & B. I absentmindedly booked it for Memorial Day weekend so we expected the worst with crowds and tourists insanity. Luckily staying here made a huge difference and the hosts had several great suggestions. They told us about a little known abandoned stage coach trail that we found and completely escaped the crowds. Unbelievable views of the falls without a soul to compete with!

First, the drive there was stunning and the location is perfect for Yosemite visitors who wish to escape the waves of tourists and get off the beaten path. We took the guide book suggestion and tried entering the park from the north and exiting by the south and were thrilled by fabulous views around every corner.

The beds were comfortable and the sheets are enviably soft. We also made good use of the outside grill and picnic table and brought some steaks, salad and charcoal. The bathrooms were clean and the kitchenette was just enough to make our stay comfortable. They provided dishes, silverware, tools for flipping, microwave, coffee maker... Etc.

Breakfast was fantastic! Delicious pancakes, waffles with berry compote and sausage. Yum! We completely enjoyed meeting our charming host and hostess and would recommend this place to anyone visiting Yosemite. This is truly the way to go!

  • Very comfortable and beautifully located B&B. Brenda was very accommodating and prepared us a lovely breakfast as we left early in the morning and missed the regular serving time. There was a lot of useful information provided about the local area and about Yosemite in particular - including how to avoid poison oak! Bring mosquito repellant as there were a lot of mozzies in May.

  • My family had a great time staying with John and Brenda for 3 nights. Suite was roomy and clean. The hosts are friendly. Breakfast was delicious. John had lots of good advice about trails in Yosemite to visit.

Location is close to Oakhurst. There are options for supermarkets and restaurants. Driving into Yosemite is a little over an hour into the valley.

  • This was our first Airbnb experience and we couldn't be more pleased with our
hosts Brenda and John. Both were very helpful and accommodating, providing tips and directions and allowing us to arrive late without bothering anyone thanks to their lockbox system.

Breakfast was delicious and freshly prepared by John while chatting with us and exchanging stories about our trips.

Try having breakfast while sitting on the deck and enjoying the views!

The area is a bit dark at night, but so is everywhere in town. Also cell phone reception is very spotty, which is a good thing if you want to get lost from the world and just enjoy nature.

GPS is NOT always right. Listen to your hosts!!!

Overall we had a great experience and would definitely come back!
