What a lovely little place to stay! Tucked away in the back of the house with a separate entrance, you pass through a lush garden to the "porch" where two comfortable chairs sit with throw blankets on them, inviting you to sit and sip some wine. Inside it is small but complete, and I loved GG's gorgeous taste in colors and design of each and every thing. We never met in person but her graciousness was much in evidence from the stocked fridge to the comfy robes in the closet. Talent is quite close to Ashland, so this is an affordable and unique place to stay nearby.
I just spent a most delightful, restful few days at this "Sweet Little Garden Studio" and it is that. Flowers and greenery everywhere! And Gg even had several arrangements inside when I arrived. I felt most welcomed: even a "Welcome Judy" note on the white board outside. Inside, everything just as listed, and even more (website hidden) is a most generous host down to the coffee (really good coffee), fresh eggs from the chickens and ducks just on the other side of the fence, and even though I don't drink, an abundance of wine. The fridge had other goodies inside too. The bed: delicious with lots of pretty pillows and bright, colorful spread; a comfy reading chair with a good light (this matters!), and everything clean and fresh. The front porch with two wooden rockers was perfect for my morning coffee and just the right size to spread my yoga mat for a morning practice among all the flowers and greenery. The whole place felt abundant and generous, with thoughtful and pretty touches through (website hidden) was a perfect host in other ways too, advising me about good restaurants in town and the best route to get to them, and generally being available and very friendly and personable. I felt like I'd made a new friend.
I hope to return to the Sweet Little Garden Studio in the not-to-distant future.
We had such a wonderful stay at the sweet little garden studio! We chose the studio because of its affordability and because we were attending a wedding in Talent. We would choose this again even if our destination were (website hidden) was an excellent host and the room had everything, even fresh duck and chicken eggs from her own birds!
Where do I start!? GG's garden studio is so incredibly cute, cozy, welcoming, and comfortable. The private entrance is a plus! And the garden is beautiful! We immensely enjoyed our (website hidden) was a wonderful host who we ended up having drinks with and chatted for an evening, holding baby bunnies and petting her Bassett hound. We will absolutely be coming back to the Garden Studio.
Also, the views driving into the neighborhood are breathtaking. And the Shakespeare Festival is minutes away. What an incredible community! We could not have asked for better accommodations! Thank you Gg!!!
Gg is a gracious and kind host. She came out the door to greet us when we arrived and offered any help/info that we might need. The unit was stocked with beer/wine/soda which were reasonably priced. Bed was of full size, big enough for one, or two not very large guests. Really enjoyed the fresh duck and chicken eggs which were provided complimentary. I know they're fresh because the coop was right outside our bedroom window! I think the host is practicing organic farming in the beautiful garden. Unavoidably there're a bit of flying insects around. A fly swatter was provided inside, so I made good use of it.
