The Space

Rent a house with everything you need from Internet to AC, to a swimming pool, and much more in a traditional village in Nusa Dua Bali, 5mn walking distance from a beautiful beach (perfect surf spot).

The house is located at the entrance of a traditional village located next to the high-ends hotels area in Nusa Dua.

I will help you to rent a motorbike/car, and provide you any information you may need.

My area is nice and quiet with a lot of nearby activities (beaches, shopping, surf, temples, ...).

If you plan to party every night this is not the right house for you.
You can drive 30mn to the party area without problem (I do it on week ends), but my area is more about discovering the real Bali...

Ideally located for surfers too

The last 30 meters of road to my house have no asphalt but you can still use it really easily with your motorbike or car (Bali don't have asphalt everywhere yet :) ).

  • It was really cool ! We were 4 people there for surfing. The house is exactly the same as in the description, the location is not to busy but there is some shop to buy some good nasi goreng ^^, you can get some surfing because the closest beach is at 10 min by foot. If you need something (scooter, question, taxi...anything) you can call the gael's friends "Super" who can help you at evrytime.Or you can call Gael, who stay at your dispositon at all time.

    Thanks, we really enjoyed !

  • Very nice house!
Had some problems with water Because the government worked on the pipelines and one Day no energy Because of a thunderstorm but gael was always helpfull in fixing the problems. He also helped us with booking our ferry to gili Island and hiring some scooters.
Very nice place in a traditional village!
    Thank you!

    Response from Gael:

I feel sorry about this small setbacks that happened during the stay.

To prevent future cuts from the government, I have bought a bigger water reserve and with 2 000 liters with can avoid government cuts for as long as one week.

As for the electricity I also bought a small generator that will run in case of cuts.

    Thank you :-)

  • We had a very good time at Gael's house!
Gael and his staff were very nice to us and helpful. Gael answers very quickly if you have any question or if there's anything concerning the house.
We, a family of two adults, a 3 years old and a baby, were at his place for two weeks. The house is perfect for a family.
When we planned to go to Gael's house, we were not supposed to have a car, but we finally decided to rent one. I would definitly recomment to anyone who stays there to have a motorbike or a car to travel around.
Bali is a small island and there's a lot to see around and public transport is hard to find on the peninsula.
I would stay at Gael's place again and I warmly recommend it!

  • We came during the rain season and learned a lot about the challenges of being in a rapidly developing country. Gael's house is a very charming house, had all the perks that we were looking for, living with the locals, walking distance to an amazing beach, and was a had a great outdoor space with swimming pool. Nusa Dua is rapidly changing to accommodate large luxury hotels, so water has become a big issue. There was no water the day that we arrived so Gael had to order a water truck to fill the tank. Then we were there during a monsoonal rain storm that created a few leaks in the house that Gael had workers come right away to repair the water leaks. That is all part of the adventures of travel.
Gael lives in Bali so he was able to attend to all the issues quickly. Having an owner or property manager readily available is a must when renting a villa here. Gael is a delightful host and very attentive to making sure our stay was comfortable. We got to travel see many parts of Bali, and for such a small island there is a variety of places that can offer different variety of experiences depending on what you are looking for. Kuta, Legian, and Seminyak areas offer a much more urban feel, but doesn't seem like real Bali. Nusa Dua had the large fancy resorts but the feel is much more laid back and the beach we frequented was exactly what we wanted, a surfing beach, no hawkers, very quiet and picturesque. A pleasant surprise travelling to the east side of Bali and saw the elusive Virgin Beach. Not a surfing beach but loved the feel of this area and would look to stay longer if we get the opportunity to travel back to Bali. All in all we had a wonderful experience.

  • Gael is a very nice host witch took all the time to introduce us to his very cool house with many decorative elements, art books and beautiful furniture. We felt like at home and would warmly recommend this house to any one who like good value for a nice price.
