About This Listing
Settled in Marrakesh since 2011, we are a mixed couple avid to make discover Morocco each to our way. Omar is a man from the desert who will indulge to take you to it. Isabelle left Belgium to devote to one of her passions that is the ornithology. But Marrakesh has no more secret for her and if you wish, she will make you discover someparticular aspects of the red city. Situated in the north part away from the tourist districts, the riad has a terrace solarium, a patio with a fountain, a lounge with a rich specialized library and television and 5 comfortable rooms, of which one at the ground floor. They have all of their own bathroom with toilets and the air-conditioning. Three rooms have a double bed, one of 2 beds single and a big room welcomes three beds single. Free Wi-Fi in all the riad. A pergola is fitted out on the terrace as well as a solarium with deckchairs. The proposed price concerns the rent of the riad exclusively on basis of 10 people a night, for a MINIMUM of 4 NIGHTS. The price can vary according to the season. Thank you for consulting us on this matter.
The guests have access to the common rooms: the lounge - library, the patio and the terrace as well as, naturally, their room. The kitchen is exclusively reserved for our house personnel.
Interaction with Guests
We are permanently present in the house and are at the disposal of the guests to supply them any possible information concerning visits in the city, excursions outside Marrakesh, tours... The maintenance of the riad and the room is daily insured, the breakfast, included in the price of the room, is served every morning on the terrace or in the patio. Typically Moroccan meals can be taken noon and/or evening with supplement.
The riad is situated in the district Zaouia Abbassia, not far from the "souk el Khemis" in the North of the medina. Easily accessible on foot of the Garden Majorelle and by car of the Museum of the Palm grove, the riad Dar Zampa is in about 20 minutes of the place Jemaâ el Fna. The route connecting it allows to cross a big part of souks and to visit a series of small museums and little known monuments.
From the airport: by taxi, by bus, transfer, for supplement, by our care. Then on foot since the parking.
Other Things to Note
Lost in a side street of a little tourist district of the medina, the riad is not easy to find and is unknown by taxis. We deeply recommend to contact us so that we pick you up in the parking or in the airport.
Guests are request not to smoke in the closed spaces, not to eat in the room; animals are not allowed.
Isabelle was a wonderful host and really was so accommodating to the whole group of us (9 people).
The riad was clean and beautifully furnished.
Breakfast was tasty and really plentiful.
We could hang out on the roof during the day and the night and it was a real extra benefit to us as a party of people.
The internet was strong and the showers hot.
Isabelle arranged our transfers from the airport which was essential as we would not have found the riad at first. Once we had arrived and had a walk around the area the next day, it was in fact conveniently close to one of the main Medina gates, so I couldn't fault the location either.
All 9 of us enjoyed our stay here and would recommend Riad Dar Zampa to others. I would certainly stay here if I go back to Marrakech.
Accueil très chaleureux d'Isabelle et Omar dans un riad plein de charme. Une adresse à recommender.
