  • Chris and Phil were great hosts, who welcomed us into their home and their country. In one sense the house is in the middle of nowhere, as the pictures show. In another sense though, it's right in the heart of Ireland's history: where the English first came in as overlords and where the Irish rebellion of 1798 rose and was shattered. And Chris has all the insider knowledge on how best to explore the area.
With Chris's directions, we found it easily from the Rosslare ferry, although the GPS didn't really believe there was anything there. Breakfast was sumptuous – so many delicious options it was hard not to eat too much.

  • Chris and Phil are exceptional hosts and they have a beautiful home. They accepted us on short notice and they were so nice. They make you feel like family as soon as you walk in the door. Chris had a nice breakfast for us in the morning and she had plenty of great travel suggestions. We just wish we could have stayed longer.

  • This airbnb experience was really awesome.
We had wonderful moments with Christine and Phill. First the house was warm and clean, an idyllic and tranquil place near Arklow and Gorey. It was not very easy to find but it totally worth it! We share lot of things in common with them from music to Z-movies . Christine gives us directions about museum and her wonderful castle (don't forget to take a tour inside with Larry!) I hope we'll meet them very soon

  • Lovely, scenic, beautifully clean home with very hospitable, generous, friendly hosts. This is a "home" not just a place to stay, our hosts were more than gracious and thought of everything our family could possible want. We loved that we got to know them and share in some real family fun, jamming and singing our evenings away. They connected, bonded and left a positive impression with every member of our 7 person family. We can't wait to see them again. Thank you for making our stay memorable! (phone number hidden)

  • We had a fabulous time staying with Christine and Phil!! We had many a conversation at their kitchen table. Scott (my husband) and Phil swapped guitar songs for a whole evening. The next night we all had a great time at the local pub meeting their friends and the locals. Definitely had an Irish "craic" (new word for good time we learned from them). Thanks Christine and Phil....hope you visit Florida so we can show you a good time southern style!

  • This is a gem of a place. Only 20 mins from Barnadown Equestrian Centre (using the back roads) it's ideal for anyone attending competitions there. Christine and Phil provide a warm, yet not intrusive, welcome. They were also on hand to give any advice and support as needed - thanks for the needle and thread! The rooms are immaculate, the standard of decoration throughout the house is extremely high and a more than hearty breakfast was provided. We had a lovely comfortable stay. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND staying with Christine and Phil - you won't be disappointed.
