Lots of things to like here if you wish to be close to the action. The apartment is on the first level above the main street in Fiesole. It is a large apartment with 2 huge bedrooms and all modern amenities however the shower will be tight if you are big framed. Cafés below, main piazza with weekend market across the road, Roman ruins dating back to 8-2BC all within 50 meters and a walk to the top of the hill from the square will delight with the best view in all of Tuscany. The owner Alberto was warm and helpful and Fiesole a lovely place to visit. Recommended....
Best thing about La Pietra Grezza is the owner, Alberto himself. He was always ready to help and solve whatever problems we might have had. The apartment itself is as described in the pictures and in text. There is also a big garden. The place is also dog friendly. We have made lots of nice walks to the hills, where you can see dears and wild boars. You can take a walk to Chianti side of the hills as well. We had a long term stay, and there was enough of everything to support us. Only the weather could have been nicer, but that you never know.
The apartment was clean and pleasant and comfortable, everything worked as it should.
The location is remote from the city bustle and beautiful, but its easy enough to get to Florence in half an hour if you avoid the rush hour traffic. The area around offers multiple touring options if you have a car. Alberto is a helpful and welcoming host. We greatly enjoyed our stay.
