My home is in the beautiful Greenwood neighborhood (the map on this website does NOT show a street view).
The Greenwood neighborhood is convenient to UNC & downtown CHAPEL HILL but also DURHAM and DUKE UNIVERSITY & NORTH CAROLINA CENTRAL,. and a 30 minute drive to Raleigh and NC STATE UNIVERSITY. The RDU airport is 14 miles east of my home in Chapel Hill.
Neighborhood bordered by beautiful woods with walking paths that lead to UNC campus, or guests can enjoy a walk in the wooded and quiet neighborhood.
Fresh Market grocery, drug stores & restaurants (Thai, Italian, Indian, Asian) within 5-10 minute walk from home.
I am a retired university administrator and former consultant to many universities. I have lived in Chapel Hill for ten years and love the town and the region. Also have traveled extensively in the U.S. and throughout the world.

Sheila is simply a wonderful host, and she has a beautiful, comfortable home. Every aspect was perfect - I couldn't have been happier with my stay.
Sheila was a marvelous host, very helpful host! I liked very much the good conversations. The house is perfectly located to the campus in a very nice woody neighborhood. The room is large with very good beds. I really felt at home over there.
I stayed here for a week in October 2013, while attending a conference at UNC. Not enough stars for this: Sheila is a remarkable host in all respects, and her house is beautiful. I cannot recommend this highly enough. It was frankly a privilege to meet Sheila and stay in her home.
Sheila is a very friendly host. The place is spacious, clean and tasteful. She surrounds herself with beautiful things, often from travels. She knows a lot about the surroundings and tells vividly about it. The stay was short but nice.
A beautifully landscaped, quiet home near UNC. I stayed a week and thoroughly enjoyed my time. Sheila is an accomodating hostess who can help quite a bit with area attractions, restaurants, directions, not to mention fun to talk to . She also has a very friendly cat.
Sheila's place was even better than described! Would certainly stay here again....very comfortable, clean and safe. Sheila was also most hospitable and accommodating with my travel plans.
We had a wonderful stay at Sheila's house. It is a gorgeous & beautiful house with a great location. (just 20 mins. walking to the UNC campus) Has a very nice garden and porch. Sheila was a fantastic host and we enjoyed talking and sharing views about travel and food. She had provided helpful information on places of interests and for dinning. Highly recommend this quiet & peaceful place. Would love to come back for another visit.
I recently spent five days at this sunny AirBnB while searching for housing in Chapel Hill before relocating this fall for a position at UNC. It was my first AirBnB experience, and I couldn’t have asked for a better initiation. Sheila was a wonderful hostess, deeply welcoming not only to her home but to Chapel Hill as well. Her home is absolutely beautiful, with Turkish rugs atop hardwood floors and artwork from her international travels. I spent many happy hours exploring the hiking trails surrounding her neighborhood, one of which leads right to campus, and her garden is the perfect place to relax with a book. She also provided a filling breakfast each morning of Fage yogurt, granola, strawberries, and English muffins from Trader Joes. I’ll soon be booking a return stay later this summer. Thank you Sheila and Precious!
I loved the location of this property in a quiet, beautiful neighborhood, great for walking and easy access to main roads. Shelia was very hospitable and helpful with restaurant suggestions and directions. I felt safe in her home and neighborhood. Her home is spotless and easy to relax in. The bed and shower were excellent. The property exceeded my expectations. I will definitely stay with Sheila again when in Chapel Hill.
My 2-night stay with Sheila was fantastic- clean and quiet private room and bathroom, WiFi, breakfast. I was visiting UNC's School of Public Health, which was a 5-10 min bus ride or 25-30 min walk away. Sheila picked me up when I arrived on campus and dropped me off on campus at the end of my stay to catch the bus to the airport. I highly recommend Sheila's home for a visit to Chapel Hill!
