The flat is right in middle of Montpellier with loads of restaurants, cafes, bars and shopping nearby (next to Place st Roch). Also tram and train are within five minutes walk to access Montpellier attractions like the beach and the Languedoc area. The airport is not far...
The old town is a car free zone but parking options exist nearby.
The building is ancient but has been refurbished and is in tip-top shape.
The kitchen is large and well-equipped.
There are breakfast things like cereals and fresh perculated coffee and a nespresso machine and all basics like sugar, milk, oils, spices, herbs and other stuff. Help yourself to any of that...
There is always a shelf free in the fridge, as well as the pantry and there is a freezer. And a microwave. And a washing machine. And a drying rack. And an iron. And a phone with free calls to landlines in most European countries, North America and Australia and New Zealand.
The bedroom sleeps two easily and has a huge built-in wardrobe. Fresh linen and towels are provided.
There is a large dining area as well as a comfortable lounge room with TV, music and free WI-FI internet. A guitar...
I am away all day at work (I'm a journalist) but can help out with some 'insider trading knowledge' about Montpellier if you need it.
Je parle francais aussi...
It's a really charming flat in a great central, bustling location.
I also have two cats (Remy, bigger; Kylie, smaller) that are low-maintenance, friendly and funny.
Hope to see you!
P.s. I travel a lot so you may get the whole place to yourself :-) ...Oh, and (of course) you get your own set of keys...

The good side is that the place is in a perfect central location if you want the buzz of Montpellier, you're bang in the middle of the old town. Suits young people, not anyone noise conscious, it was great for me.
On the downside I found the apartment far far darker than the photos show, it didn't matter greatly as I just slept there but it is not particularly bright.
I didn't feel particularly welcome here either, while it's normal for Airbnb hosts to do their own thing, the greeting was a bit rushed and cold. I don't really have any high demands for a host apart from maybe friendliness, for 10 minutes at the beginning of a stay.
Lastly, this probably isn't a place to go if you want to cook, the two cats are licking the worktops and surfaces and roaming free. Again, just providing this info, I'm sure some people's views vary on this.
In summary, it's a fantastic location at a good price but I was happy enough to be on my way, I'm currently travelling around Europe and that was my fourth Airbnb so far and my only one to date, anywhere, that I had some probs with.
But your opinion may differ. I don't like leaving negative feedback but I feel it's how the site works, so I've tried to be fair.
Great apartment in the very centre of the city. Shane is a great and uncomplicated guy. Would definitely go there again when returning to Montpellier.
Avons passé un weekend délicieux, merci Shane
Great stay at Shane's apartment, very modern & great location!
Shane is a very nice guy and his cats are lovely. The flat's location couldn't be better, a lot of cute little shops. I must say we had an exceptional problem with noise the 1st night and Shane kindly offered to refund a part of the room fee. The flat or room itselves are not super very sunny or spick and span but are alright.
Shane was a great host. Provided me with everything I needed and was always on hand to give me information about the city. Apartment is big and spacious, and perfectly situated next to St Roch church. I will definitely be staying there again when I return to Montpellier. Thanks Shane!
Great location and a very easy going, friendly host!!! We could not recommend Shane and his apartment more! Shane was very relaxed and had our room beautifully presented and very clean. Patrick and I really enjoyed our time in the city and we were able to walk absolutely everywhere we wanted to go! There are great cafes and bars at the apartments door step and Shane was able to recommend a great French restaurant for us to have dinner. It was really nice being able to stay with an Australian on Australia Day!!! Thanks Shane!
Shane was my first host through airbnb and it was a great experience! I had a nice room with plenty of space and the whole apartment was welcome to me for whatever I needed. I was sick from some kind of digestive issue while I was there, but Shane was super respectful and kind, I really appreciated that. If I were to go back to Montpelier I would absolutely stay with him again.
I just stayed overnight at Shane's apt in Montpelier. The location is great smack in the historical center with restaurants everywhere. The room was cozy with plenty of closet space and very quiet. I did not meet Shane but Katryna welcomed me and made me feel right at home. I recommend this place, very convenient.
Shane was easy to deal with and all went very smoothly. The place was in a great location. Very central in the "old" city of Montpellier. You reach the central station within a 10 minutes walk. Check-in/Check-out was straightforward. I can fully recommend this room and Shane as a host.
