Description

Coming to the Cleveland area? Stay in our perfectly located home in Lakewood. Close to everything! Public transportation right next door. Its a 10 minute walk to downtown Lakewood and lots of great places to eat begin right on next block!

The space is nice and roomy with a king size sleigh bed and two twin beds, a TV, wireless internet & Roku with Amazon Prime, Netflix, Hulu and more. There is a mini fridge in your room but you are welcome to use our big one downstairs. There is an area in the kitchen set up for hot beverages...help yourself 24/7.

The bedroom is on the 3rd floor of the house and has a nice urban view of the street. You can comfortably sleep a family of 4 here. We have an 11 year old; so, we are family friendly. The house will be 100 years old in 5 years and is 3300 sq. feet. It's quiet around here despite being centrally located.
Our home is filled with our artwork. Its eclectic and unusual but most people love it.

Guests have access to their room, bathroom and kitchen if desired, laundry in basement and garage and carport.

We will be around the house and in the yard but wont interfere with your privacy unless you want to come outside and sit in the back yard; or on the front or back porch or lay in the hammock. Yes, we are here when our guests are here.

This is one of the best neighborhoods in the US. It is a super safe, walk friendly, bike friendly place. There are a ton of bars and restaurants in our little city and grocery shopping and antiquing are right around the corner. The YMCA is 2 blocks down with an indoor pool if you're a member or you can go to the outdoor Lakewood Pools for a daily rate. There are several play parks in the neighborhood as well as entrances to the Metroparks less than a mile from the house. If you are coming to Cleveland you have to experience the Metroparks. Its over 100 miles of bike path that winds through forests and parks all connected that circle the city and continue south down the Erie Canal. 45 minutes from here is Cedar Point and The Islands with wineries and beaches and boating. We also have boating right here down in the Rocky River Marina or at the Edgewater Yacht club. Visit the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, take in a sporting event at one of the arenas or visit a comedy club downtown and try your luck at the Horseshoe Casino. Tour the Cleveland Art Museum, or the Natural History Museum or take a tour on Lolly the Trolley. You can enjoy a dinner cruise and then take in a show at Playhouse Square. There is a ton of fun things to do here!

You can walk, bike or taxi (Westlake Cab - 5$ anywhere in Lakewood). If you want to take the bus, it stops right outside of the store next to our house. Busses and RTA Transit can take you anywhere you want to go in the city and greater metropolitan area.

We have a one dog. Her name is Phoebe. She is a small dog who loves people and loves to dance. She has good manners and is friendly. She will bark when she first meets you but won't after that; and she is groomed and bathed often and I vacuum and shampoo the carpets and furniture frequently so there is no "dog" smell in the house and there's not a lot of hair flying around either as I can't stand it.

I provide Dunkin Donuts and coffee or Bagels and cream cheese and orange juice but if you want you can order eggs benedict or my special recipe biscuits and gravy with eggs or stuffed french toast with mixed berry syrup and sausage links or patties for 30.00 per party (but you can only choose one meal per morning). We are 15 minutes from the Browns Stadium, Rock n Roll Hall of Fame, Science Center, Progressive Field, or just about anywhere downtown. We are 20 minutes from the Cleveland Clinic, the VA hospital and 25 from Case Western Reserve and University Hospital.

had to get a place in a rush after all my plans fell through moving to Cleveland. Anitra was great and a real life saver. could not have been happier or felt more at home.

Anitra's place is full of beautiful art and close to the Cleveland airport. She and her family were very welcoming.

Anitra was great at communicating and it was much-appreciated as she is very busy and arrival time was up in the air. Her husband Rodney and son welcomed us so kindly in her absence. The attic space was roomy, tidy and private in this historic home. The king bed felt so luxurious! The full, shared bathroom is on the 2nd level but was always open when we 4 required its use. Lakewood itself looks like it has a fun nightlife (in walking distance) and Cleveland is only about a 20 minutes' drive. The kitchen was made available to us and their sweet dog Phoebe and well-mannered cats welcomed us for our morning coffee. Great stay!

Anitra and Rodney were super nice and accommodating. They are both artists as am I so we had lots to chat about. Location is convenient to anywhere in the Cleveland area. I had a huge third floor bedroom-slept great.

It has been a great experience staying in Anitra's place. The room is clean and tidy. And it is big enough to host three people, my dad and mom and I. The hostess even offered breakfast for us! She is super nice and respectful. The room is separated from the hostess' living area, which provides privacy to us.

Anitra was wonderful! She was very understanding about our late arrival (we forgot about the time change) and very accommodating. The room was nice and large, and she showed us all the Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon anyone could ever want! We had to leave early after just one night, but she offered to make us breakfast, which was very sweet. We would definitely recommend!

Our host did not read the reservation properly and mistook our reservation for 3 as a reservation for 2. She offered an air mattress for the 3rd person and also offered to cook/buy us breakfast in the morning due to the mix-up. Although she wasn't properly prepared, she did offer a solution which was nice.

Hi my name is Anitra Handley-Boyt and my husband Rodney and I live in this great side by side home. We are both artists, as is my mother and our son, Adam. I have a political science degree from Northern Illinois University and a Law degree from Cleveland Marshall College of Law. I am currently running the gallery and our home. I worked for 30 years in the restaurant business and am a pretty decent cook as well.

Favorite places to visit? So far Lake Lure, Biltmore, Asheville area is just a great great place to enjoy life and take in the sites or activities; but, I am dying to go to Italy, France, Spain, Greece,...everywhere!
