POGGIO DEL VENTO
A beautifully furnished, typical Umbrian farmhouse with a spa that is ideal for families, friends and couples. The house contains 3 air-conditioned double bedrooms, 1 sofa bed, 4 bathrooms, a gym, an hammam and outdoor pool.
The farmhouse is ideally situated to visit the typical Umbrian and Tuscan towns, with the Medieval village of Baschi a 5-minute drive away, Orvieto a 15-minute drive and Rome and Florence an hour by train.

The space
The way in which tradition has been combined with modern interior design immediately strikes the eye upon entering the house, from the wooden beams in the ceiling to the modern furnishings that add a warmth and cosiness that is perfectly suited to spending a holiday.
Two of the three double bedrooms are on the ground floor. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, with a shower in one and a hot tub in the other. The livingroom and the kitchen/dining area are also on the ground floor. An arch leads from the former, which is equipped with a satellite TV and fireplace, to the latter, which contains a fully-equipped kitchen and a dining area with a stunning table that seats eight people.
The spacious, warmly-decorated entrance hall, which divides the daytime from the night-time areas, not only serves as a second living room but also contains a queen size sofa bed that may be used when needed. A stair leads to the upper floor, where there is the third bedroom, with two single beds, plus one pull-out bed, a small storeroom and a third bathroom.
Another staircase leads to the lower floor, where there is the gym with Technogym equipment, a large Turkish bath, two showers and a relaxation area, as well as a washing machine and dryer.

Italy

​Baschi is a compact stone village on the hill overlooking the valley, a real jewel. In the small town near the house you will find the main services: bar, pharmacy, butcher shop and supermarket.
In the summer, numerous musical concerts and food and wine events, fairs and village fetes are held in the area around Baschi and Orvieto. Other places that are well worth visiting are Corbara Lake (6 km from Baschi), Civita di Bagnoregio, also known as the village that is dying (17 km), Bomarzo, also known as the monster’s park (23 km), Viterbo and its spas, Todi, Bolsena Lake and, obviously, Orvieto, with its spectacular cathedral. The area also contains numerous restaurants and ‘trattorie’ that serve dishes based on the local cuisine.
