The space

Amazingly homie, three-bedroom 2nd floor apartment in gorgeous Park Slope Brooklyn. Features a fantastic layout & pre-war detail & vibe. Perfectly nestled right next to (gorgeous/safe/pristine) Prospect Park ~ 585 acres of diligently planned wilderness //

The bedroom offered is the master; located right off of the kitchen, on the opposite wing of the house than the other two bedrooms. It over-looks a pretty tree-lined street and is decorated with Victorian antiques as well as kitschy toys, trinkets, books, zines, and vinyl records. A queen-size grand four-poster bed holds a top-of the-line Tempur Pedic mattress that will have you sleeping like a baby. The room also boasts a nightstand, desk and sitting area... as well as a ceiling fan, AC unit & land-line telephone.

The apartment in its entirety features a long hall, bathroom (with tub), kitchen, and parlor.
There is a small courtyard and laundry facility connected to the building.

The neighborhood is beautiful, clean, peaceful, safe, and has endless amenities. We are located on a Brooklyn tree-lined street, with old-fashioned street lamps, lavish brownstone & limestone mansions, birds singing songs, fresh air!.. yet within a five minute stroll you have a vast array of food-markets, boutiques, bars, and some of Brooklyn's top restaurants.

The f/g subway train station is a three minute walk away.

I stayed in the master bedroom for 12 nights. I enjoyed everything! Louisa was very easy to communicate with and the other roomates were polite and helpful. The neighbourhood is beautiful, peaceful and quiet and the neighbours are friendly. It was my first time in Brooklyn and I would love to stay there again.

Louisa's place's absolutely adorable with unexpected cute little decorations in the room. The house is very clean and comfy, located in the famous park slope 5th avenue where full of features restaurants and shops. Also, the place's close to subway station so you can easily go around the city. Highly recommend!

Very comfortable bed. Very pleasant host. Very convenient location. One complaint. Their very dignified parrot only said hello once!

I had a wonderful stay at Louisa's charming and eclectic home. It is right next to Prospect Park and within walking distance to fabulous dining, cafes and the subway. Louisa was beyond gracious in accommodating my last minute stay.

This is a good, safe neighborhood and only a short walk to the subway. The room is bright and sunny and the bed is very comfortable. I stayed there for 6 nights and she was on the other side of the apartment and very quiet. The bedroom door doesn't lock because the latch is broken. The ceiling fan doesn't cool the room and it was so hot the last 2 nights. I just sent her a message a few days before about my arrival time and she said whenever you arrive is OK, just text or call me when you arrive at the building and when I arrived there I called her 4-5 times and she didn't respond and I was waiting out about 30 minutes till she made the room ready and let me in the apartment. I think this is a good place to stay only for a couple days and if you are staying longer this may be inconvenient.

Response from Louisa:
Regarding check-in: please remember I was accommodating your very early check-in. Also I must add- the room is very airy and cool, with it's two big windows facing the lovely tree-lined street.. we just happen to be experiencing an unusual heat-wave at the time of your stay. And there was an AC available for your use also.

Pros: 1)This is a great neighborhood. Really safe and convenient. 2)Louisa was not there during my stay but she was very responsive to my messages. She communicates well and is really nice. 3) The bed was very comfortable. Cons: 1) If you are staying at the "master bedroom" you will not get any closet space. It was ok for me because I only stayed for a few days but if you are staying longer this may be rather inconvenient because your luggage will have to be your closet. 2) The bedroom door does not close because the latch is broken, so you won't be able to lock the door. Also even if you push the the door it sometimes does not stay closed for the same reason. 3) The apartment feels a little cluttered. It has nice interesting stuff but overall I felt it was a bit too much. 4) The bathtub drain is slow.
