Why not stay in the neighborhood that was voted #1 Best Place to Live in NYC ??
We have an amazingly homie three-bedroom, 2nd floor apartment in gorgeous Park Slope Brooklyn. It features a fantastic layout & awesome pre-war detail & vibe.. nestled right next to gorgeous/safe/pristine Prospect Park. (685 acres of diligently planned wilderness, at your disposal).
The bedroom offered is the master bedroom, and is located right off of the kitchen, on the opposite wing of the house than the other two bedrooms. Its large, bright and very cool, decorated with classic/victorian antiques as well as kitschy toys, trinkets, books, zines, and records. The space is colorful, peaceful, cool and inspiring ~ as well as extremely cozzzy. A queen-sized grand four-poster bed holds a top-of the-line Tempur Pedic mattress (that will have you sleeping like a baby!) The room also boasts a nightstand, desk and sitting area, wall of windows, ceiling fan..
The apartment in its entirety features a long hall, bathroom (with tub), kitchen, and parlor.
There is a small courtyard and laundry facility connected to the building.
The neighborhood is beautiful, very peaceful and safe, and has endless amenities. Think tree-lined streets, brownstones & limestone mansions, old-fashioned street lanterns... Yet everything you could ever need is within a five minute stroll, (including bustling nightlife and some of Brooklyn's top restaurants).
The f/g subway train station is a three minute walk away.

The place was only a short walk to the train, which made travel around Brooklyn and to the city very easy. Louisa was super friendly and helpful with recommendations and directions, too. She was neither overbearing nor too distant. While she was just on the other side the apartment, she was very quiet and I often thought I was there alone. All in all I highly recommend the apartment!
I really enjoyed staying at Louisa's apartment and would always come back. It's a very special place with fun decoration. The neighboorhood is beautiful and relaxed with cafés, restaurants and Prospect Park around the corner. The metro station is super close and brings you directly to other parts of Brooklyn and Manhattan. Communication with Louisa worked excellently. I met her only when I arrived but she was very nice and welcoming
Louisa's room is one of the most beautiful, personal and lovingly decorated places I've ever stayed at and so is the entire flat. I loved it from start to finish: The vintage flair, the shape, the location and most of all, the down to earth kind of warmth and cosiness: You could feel there were actually people living in there and those people were nice, kind and helpful, too! So, a big yeahyeah to both Louisa and her room-mates! I really felt at home and would always come back (if they let me).
The apartment has all the amenities needed to feel good.
There are shops nearby and a metro station.
There are many restaurants and cafes very nice.
I recommend it.
