Big, quiet apt above Hollywood Rd

Apartment - Entire home/apt · A Square St, Sheung Wan, Hong Kong

The Space

If you're in Hong Kong for a few days, and are looking for something both quiet and convenient, do check out my apartment. It's a 2-bedroom unit.

That's 540 sq ft, with a decent sized living room; a master bedroom with a queen-sized bed; and a smaller bedroom that I've converted into a study. Though two guests are ideal, the apartment can accommodate a third in the living room. There's a decent kitchen with the usual amenities, as well as a bathroom. Wi-fi is available. The building has a doorman.

The apartment is on the 24th floor, with a commanding view of Hollywood Road. The building is just above Hollywood Road in Sheung Wan, near the historic Man Mo Temple. There's a bus stop right below, plus it's a 5-min walk from the MTR. This is also the new hip part of the town, with great cafes, bars and art galleries.

The place is also a 5-min walk from the bars and restaurants in Lan Kwai Fong, close enough to hop over, but far enough to ensure you won't be kept up at night with nightclub music or taxi horns. You'll have a fun yet restful stay.

Guest Access

The building has a doorman. Guests will have access to hot running water, WiFi, as well as the contents of the fridge/larder.

The Neighborhood

The area around Square Street and Tai Ping Shan Road is the new hip part of town. There are great cafes (you have to try brunch and tea at Teakha), up-and-coming art galleries and just a cool laid-back vibe. It's chic, but not noisy or bustling like Central.

Getting around

The MTR (subway) is just a seven-minute walk from the apartment. There's a bus stop a minute away.

  • Although I did not get the chance to meet Abheek living in his home for 5 nights was a real joy. The apartment itself is very central and near to a variety of nightlife, cafes, and restaurants. But it's just far away enough so that sleeping at night is very quiet. Abheek was very accommodating and always responded to my messages quickly. I would recommend others to stay here as well!

  • Abheek is very organized and everything was hassle free. His apartment is cozy and clean, with everything you'll need: Wifi, cable tv, full size fridge and full size shower. Very private building and unit. Windows everywhere make it feel much larger than it is. Highly recommend staying here!

  • Abheek's apartment is brilliantly located and a great place to base yourself while in HK. On top of that, Abheek is a wonderful host. Excellent and clear communication, detailed instructions, made checking in very easy (despite being away when I arrived) and a pleasure to deal with.

  • Abheek was out of town which made things a little complicated with the check-in, but otherwise the place was great at a very good location, close to restaurants and the MTR.

  • I had a great experience using Airbnb on my recent trip to Hong Kong. My host, Abheek, was a pleasure to work with and very responsive. He left detailed instructions at the apartment and even offered snacks and beverages. I would recommend this service and plan on booking more stays through Airbnb in the future!

  • Really enjoyed my stay at Ahbeek's apartment. It is wonderfully located in Central in a nice area within walking distance to great shopping, dining, and site seeing. Ahbeek was really helpful in accommodating my schedule and making sure everything was taken care of for me. Would certainly stay there again on my next trip to Hong Kong.

  • Abheek has a beautiful apartment, in excellent location. Soho is just 5 min walk, nearest MTR - 10 min. Abheek is a great host, so I believe whatever you want to do in HongKong you would enjoy certainly.

  • Easy to navigate location, reliable WiFi, large bed comfortable bed (against the usual firm smaller beds that plague Asia venues). The laundry across the street was super convenient. Really enjoyed the slow migration into a quiet neighborhood, slightly tourist, to finally business/shopping area walk down from Central to the ferry terminal. Got a tad told in the winter season, the available heater quickly fixed this up.

  • My mother stayed at Abheeks apartment for a few days. She told me that it is a nice flat in a real great part of the town.

The communication with Abheek was very friendly and the appointments worked well.

  • Nice apt, easy access and clear directions. Even made an egg sandwich for myself, thanks Abheek!
