The location is prefect. I arrived at Greyhound and it took me only 15 mins walk to reach heritage house. It also took me 10 mins walk to Yonge street, Eaton Centre, and Queen train station. It is easy to get around to many attractions. When I left, I needed to take train at Union Station. Queen station and Union station are only 2 stops away which was very convenient to me.
The private room and bathroom met my needs. I read reviews that there's furnace sound coming from next door. I didn't hear any sound in my first 3 nights stay. The last nights I did hear it but it was for a while only. I guess the furnace would be switched on when the weather is very cold and it would be switched off soon. The room comes with a patio too. It added up the comfortableness.
The service was good. Initially, I reserved from Monday to Thursday but changed it to Sunday to Wednesday. Linda was accommodating. Before my stay, I asked some questions. Both Linda and Paul were able to answer them. Thanks!
I read reviews that mentioned the neighbourhood is not safety. As I was a single lady traveler, I kept most of my time to be back to the house at around 9pm-10.30pm. So if you are afraid like me, probably you would like to go back at around that time. If you are with your partner or a group of you, I think you all will be fine. As I had seen people coming in and out at different timings. I don't see any danger.
Great value, the room was clean and quiet. The private balcony was also a nice perk.
Would definitely stay at Linda's again!
Not very clean. Look nicer on the pictures. Good location and ok service.
Fit the bill for my needs. The deck was quite nice....furnace room is off of room 6, so some people may find it noisy in the winter or hot summer months.
Altogether I really enjoyed my stay at Linda's place. The room was cosy and beautiful, the bed comfortable and the bathroom clean. The location was perfect - just a 10-min-walk to Yonge Street. The only thing that was a bit disturbing was the noise coming the furnace room, that is attached beside this room. But nevertheless: great room! I would definitely stay there again!
I travelled alone, stayed only a night. I was thinking about staying at a hostel according my budget and i didnt feel like spend much money for a night since i was out all day and wanted to be able to get around the city by walk. I I found this room it was a little over my budget but I got privacy, own room, own bathroom so why not. Great location and really clean.
