We were amazed at how easy it was to check in and out. The apartment was easy to find and in a great location. Would definitely go again!
As advertised! Communication about reservation and keys was perfect. Good size if you need 2 bedrooms and plan to spend most of your time exploring the city. We didn't use the kitchen, but air conditioners and bathroom fixtures worked fine. Clean. A little tricky working with multiple keys/locks (3 door entry), but feels like a safe location.
Great location downtown if you like being off the beaten path, in a chill / more quiet area, and near the water. Awesome view of the Brooklyn Bridge right across the street. Nice cafés, restaurants and market close-by and about a 7-minute walk to Fulton Street train station. Would definitely stay here again.
My business partner and I had a great stay at the apartment. The apartment is in a great location with an amazing view of the Brooklyn Bridge across the street and a cute outdoor market with great food just around the corner. It's very easy to grab a cab here as well. The washer and dryer doesn't match the outlet in the wall but Pini sent us some new towels since we were staying for a week. Good size apartment for New York and a great price, we had a great time!
Very uncomplicated handling by Pini, great apartment and location near Seaport and Fulton Street, nice neighborhood – we've been there for one week and absolutely enjoyed our stay!
Pini is a great guy, iIt's very easy to contact him.
The apartment is great. But unfortunately, it was very dirty. The floor was really dusty, the bathroom has plumbing problems, and the facilities are lacking the oven was not working.
otherwise, is an affordable apartment on a GREAT location, close to everything, and super safe.
A very disappointing experience.
We received no information from Pini about how to check-in, so a couple of days ahead of our arrival contacted him to ask how this would work and told him that we would be there at 2pm. I was informed this was fine and that we’d be met at the apartment, however on arrival no one was there and when I called we were told that someone had e-mailed me that morning (when we were travelling) asking what time we would arrive, the cleaners were in the flat and allowed us to leave our bags there, but a sister of one of the owners was staying and we were told that they would be gone within an hour and could we come back. We came back an hour later, at around 3, to be told that the current occupants would not be leaving until 5 and that they wanted to take showers before they left, but their towels had been removed by the cleaners leaving only the “clean” towels left for our use. One of the owners, Yaniv Toledano, was present and I mentioned that the washing machine smelt bad and was full of dirty water and I was told “you can’t have everything”. When we asked if it might be possible to have use of a hair dryer we were completely ignored!
When we eventually arrived back after 5pm there was half eaten food in the fridge and at least one of our towels showed signs of having been used. The towels themselves were tiny, barely long enough to cover yourself with, very thin and didn't smell very nice.
We received no information about how to connect to the internet, what to do with our rubbish (there are no bins in the apartment or outside) or what we should do for check out. I had to explicitly ask each time.
The apartment itself could be a nice place to stay if a little care was given, it’s in a great location, but Pini’s communication is abysmal, the attitude of guy we met there was smarmy and downright rude, and the facilities are lacking. There is a huge fridge and cooker and some pots, pans and crockery, but there is nothing in the apartment to clean with, so if you want to use and of this stuff, you have to go out and but all the things you’ll need to clean up after yourself. The bed sheets are a cheap poly-cotton.
I contacted Pini about these issues 5 days ago before leaving this feedback and have received no reply. I would definitely not stay in one of this group’s apartments again. On a later leg of our journey we stayed in another airbnb apartment which was more basic but the organisation, clear lines of communication and adequate bed and bath linens made the stay much more enjoyable.
