Linda Gail's hospitality is what made our trip so special. She was so friendly and incredibly helpful. She set us up on an amazing day trip to an island where we swam with the sea lions, ate ceviche on the beach and saw beautiful coves, wildlife, and lots of turquoise water! We we very comfortable in our suite with a beautiful view, however it was so big, we would have preferred a one bedroom for just the two of us. Very clean, quiet and safe. There is also a garage to park your car in. The icing on the cake was the little fish restaurant next door yet attached to the hotel. Some of the best food I have had! At first it seemed a bit weird to have fish tacos for breakfast, however that feeling only lasted a minute. I could hardly wait to wake up and try something new for breakfast (all seafood) each morning! We highly recommend Linda Gail and Gonzalo's Hotel/Bed and Breakfast in La Paz and can hardly wait to go back!
The hotel is really nice with spacious family rooms for four persons and possibilities to put in extra beds. Balconies have a nice view to the sea. Wifi doesn't work very well in the rooms but is better in the reception area. We had a very good stay.
Key pick was well orchestrated. Linda was friendly and gave us some great local tips. she Kindly extended check out time by 1 hour. Place was clean and had great views and location. Wifi was spotty in the unit however was not a major problem. I would stay again.
Amazing location with one of the best views of La Paz! Will definitely be back. The breakfasts were delicious as well.
We had a great time at Linda's lovely La Paz apartment. Unknown to us, Carnival was happening during our stay and we were in the perfect location to walk the Malecon and take it in, then head back to the villa for a swim and relaxation without having to get in the car. Everything was clean, spacious and well set up. We were very comfortable. We met our host when we checked out. She was very friendly. Recommended!
Great place to stay. A little out from the very centre, so quieter, but still on the seafront with amazing views ( we upgraded to a top floor room). Easy to walk everywhere from here.
Gail was very helpful, booking us on a snorkelling tour, calling us a cab when we left and also proving a very helpful and detailed 'manual' about la paz which was invaluable.
Breakfast, from 8.30 am, was provided by a small cafe which is part of the hotel, but separately run. It's on the basis of 60 pesos per person allowed. We always went over by about 25 pesos per person, but it was worth it, the fish tacos, chilli renellos and empanadas were Amazing. I would highly recommend it as a place to eat at any time. But if you don't like or can't eat fish, you will need to find your own breakfast. Also no breakfast on a Monday when the cafe is closed.
The rooms were clean and the bed very comfy. However, wifi signal In the room pretty non existent, but fine in the lobby.
Overall, a great place to explore and enjoy la paz.
Gail did a wonderful job of hosting us in La Paz. Her recommendations on tours and restaurants were great, the place was super clean and indoor parking was included.
She even gave us certificates for the restaurant at the hotel, which we used gladly. The food and service was excellent
I've been married and lived in La Paz for 31 yrs. My husband is a local boy and we operate The Posada Colibri Bed and Breakfast Inn and The Las Gaviotas Resort, both in the old downtown area of La Paz, in Lower Baja, Mexico. Our three children are grown and we have traveled extensively around the world. We frequently visit the US and Canada.
We have always enjoyed myriad outdoor activities and sports in the area and are also avaition buffs. We own and fly a helicopter and motorcycles and are members of several community clubs including, The local pilot's club, a motorcycle club, and The Early Risers community club.
In our businesses we aim to give personal attention to our guests and frequently enjoy conversations with them during breakfast as all of our rooms are rented with "a complete breakfast included". We try to be helpful in answering any questions guests have about the area or in helping them arrange for the activities they wish to enjoy.
