My house is in the historical area of Williamstown, close to restaurants/cafes, 3 min to train station, Williamstown beach & many parks close by. Two large rooms with queen beds, or one large room and a single. The area is safe and close to the CBD.
The rooms are generous with plenty of space for luggage. The rooms are airy rooms with plenty of light;light- blocked curtains to darken the for sleeping. The area is very quiet, just far enough away from Nelson Place and the busy restaurants trade.
Guests are welcome to use the kitchen, laundry, Wireless Internet.
Interaction with Guests
I'll have as much or as little interaction as guests want. I will always be available if help is needed, or local knowledge of the area,or in fact Melbourne in general is required.
The neighbourhood is friendly, Williamstown is a tourist destination, so week-ends are busy with people. A short stroll into Nelson Place for an ice-cream on a hot Summer's night is always pleasant. Not far is the Stag's Head Pub for a quick meal. The 'Sea Shepard','Bob Barker', 'The Steve Irwin' and 'Sam Simon' dock at the Ann St Peer at the end of my street, when they are not on the high seas. Free tours are held. There is always plenty to do in Williamstown, craft market once a month. Farmer's market every second Sunday.
A 3 minute walk to the other end of my street is the train station, the ride takes approximately 25 minutes into the heart of Melbourne, with easy access to the Tennis, Football, Theatre and the Races.
As there may be other guests staying, please be mindful of their requirements regarding noise and the like. No smoking please.
Marilyn is a caring and attentive host. She did everything possible to make my stay enjoyable. The house is very cosy and Williamstown is a really remarkable and interesting suburb. Highly recommended.
Very convenient location close to train, pub & shops. Quiet and clean. Thanks.
Currently my job is as an Airline Customer Service Officer, and previously as a Flight Attendant so I have travelled quite extensively to some wonderful countries. I have hosted International students for the last few years and have made some great friends. When guests stay my 2 Burmese cats will live in the cat enclosure outside, they are inside cats- for their safety and that of the wildlife. My passion is for animal welfare. I try to live as sustainably as I possibly can by recycling, buying locally; we have a farmers market every 2 weeks or I'll buy from the market.
"We become what we consistently do. Practice excellence" I love this motto and am trying to embrace it.
A short walk up my street is a local Pub, my neighbours and I have a meal there at the end of each month, you'd be welcome to join us.
I am casual and like to make my guests feel at home when staying with me, so my home is your home when you stay with me. I will help you with anything you need- whether it be how to get around Melbourne, where to eat or what is worth visiting. I love my Melbourne and hope you will too.
