  • My stay was awesome. Great people, great area, and great service. They helped me thoroughly in getting from cusco to Machu Picchu, even with calling the cab. Nice hangout areas within the hostels and good food too! Everything was comfortable

  • The villa magical hostel was a fine place to stay for one night. It seemed like it had a great atmosphere in the common outside area but there was no wifi in the rooms and it was very hard to find. The address online didn't include the number and the sign for the place is a small piece of paper on the door.

Aside from that, everyone was very nice and helpful. The man who spoke English called me a cab and was great!

  • I only stayed here for one night, the night before I went on the Incan trail. The rooms are next to a center courtyard with the bathrooms alongside the courtyard. There is a little library and two computers you can use inside of the library as well as two couches. There is wifi in the little library, and presumably the rooms near it - my room did not have wifi though. The kitchen is along the court yard as well, it has a small gas stove, plenty of cabinet space, a refrigerator, and some pans and dishes which you can use. The cooking water was kept in a large bin with a plastic pitcher floating in the middle of it; I'm not sure how sanitary this is as each time you reach in for the pitcher you clearly dip your hands into the cooking water - but it's definitely better than the faucet water. The sinks were outside on the courtyard.

The room I was in smelled like mildew and the floors were stained. The main office was had a musty smell, but only because of the dog they have (for those of you with allergies beware).

The staff was very nice and they allowed us to leave our luggage for free in their storage during out four day Incan hike. A definitive plus.

The hostel is a ten to fifteen minute walk from the San Pedro market, a large historical market that smells like everything good and bad combined together. Here you can buy some souvenirs. You can also be sketched out by some of the streets near by.

It is also a 25 to 30 minute walk from the plaza de armas. Here you will be amazed by the stark contrast of the area with that of the San Pedro market. The sky is clearer, the grass is green, and it doesn't smell. It's actually beautiful.

From here you are about a thirty minute walk from the artesian market, which is down avenida el sol.

    And that's that.

  • Our stay was great at the magico hostel. The digs were what was expected for a hostel and rooms were clean. The bathroom showers could use a bit of work but overall nothing a backpacker type couldn't handle. They were very polite and helpful to us upon our arrival. They also called us taxi's to the door when we needed. I would stay there again.

  • Amazing experience, very friendly people and the place is very warm and clean. In my next stay in Cuzco I will book again here. The only thing was that some times the wifi didn't work. Thank you all!!!

  • A nice little hostel with all the facilities needed. Nice and clear and friendly staff. They held our bags for 4 nights while we did the inca trek. You will have no dramas here.

Contenta.

  • The hostel is about 10min walk to the city center or 3,50 soles (less then 1 euro) by taxi.

It looks really nice and has charm, the people working there are very nice!!

Some of us felt quite cold in the bed rooms and didn´t want to take a shower as the shower was shared and as good as outside but this is what you get in a basic hostel. The price is unbeatable though.

We were able to leave some of our stuff in the hostel while traveling to Machu Picchu for 4 days and they didn´t charge rooms or anything extra which was really nice and we appreciate that!

  • Wow wow wow! I have never stayed at a hostel, I must say this was an amazing experience. I felt welcomed from the movement I arrived, I must say the wifi is very strong! The location is great, just minutes from everything cusco has to offer.
