The front desk folks were very welcoming and there were two times that I needed to leave the hostel early and someone was always willing to wake up and open it for me. Since a lot of people were long term travelers, I felt I didn't get to know people as well and it wasn't as social as I expected. Other than that, I loved the hammocks and serenity of the place and would recommend others to stay here.

The rooms were ok, very cold but for the price i cant complain. Forget abt showering there way too cold, i would pay more and go to a hotel. But its very affordable for a hostel

This was my first time staying at a hostel for my two friends and I. We spent little time there as we were out exploring and doing tours. The little time we did spend at the hostel was great. You are greeted with a smile and such great warmth and hospitality. The little dog poncho made it even better. They have 24/7 cook on staff that makes amazing food for a very cheap price. Free wifi, plenty of places to hang out and enjoy a beer. Overall, I give this place 5 stars!

I really wanted to like this hostal. I was very much inspired by the vision they articulate in there add. However, I was disappointed. The communication was sparse and left me having to figure out how to find it. The hostal does not have a visible sign for a traveler to find reassurance that they have arrived to there destination. Moreover, it is not in the ideal location for an inexperienced traveler. In addition to not respond to my messages in a timely manner, they also did not organize well. At one point, they had given away my bed bc I had made it and assumed, their staff had changed the sheets. On a positive side, the central areas are fun and well represented. The outdoor space is lovely and relaxing. Coca tea is readily available and a high carbohydrate breakfast is available to those who wish it. In addition, for a small price more meals can be added.

A family environment full of love and acceptance. Definitely not a party scene. A lot of the people staying there also volunteer with kids in the area. Great onsite food and drinks with daily specials. Less of a professional hostel operation and more of a loving and safe commune.

Arrived and was very quaint pretty hostel. Great views of mountains. Stayed in a 4 bed room with my friend, unfortunately was very very cold during the night as not heated and not well insulated. Left after the first night because we couldn't be this cold. Nice communal area with cocoa tea on tap.

Response from Yuri:
Hi Suzanne! We are sorry about the cold night. If you come back, please, let us know it, so we can give you more blankets or change you to other room. Remember that in Cusco's winter (July, August) we have less than 0 degrees. Best regards!

My name is Yuri and many years ago I created a social project in Cusco where we work with children, teens and families from Cusco: Our social project Works with volunteers from all around the world which allows me to discover other places in the world without moving from Cusco even though I love travelling, all kind of arts, the spiritual path and the connection with our Pachamama.

I have two beautiful hostels one in Cusco and one in Lamay (Sacred Valley) and with their revenue I self-sustain the social project.
