Our relaxing one bedroom apartment over looks Enscenada Honda Bay which gives you a true Island feeling. It comfortably fits two and it is located on a quiet area, just a short car ride away from the most beautiful beach in the world.
Thank you for your interest in Green Villas Seastar. Seastar is an air conditioned studio with private bathroom beach-style villa overlooking beautiful Ensenada Honda Bay. It is between town (a 10 minute walk) and beautiful, secluded, safe Soldado Beach. Sitting on its’ balcony for meals, reading, talking and watching the sailboats and colorful fisherman boats come in and out of the bay is unique. Maybe if you get lucky you may watch the occasional pirate ship or yatch. It sleeps 2 people. I have great prices for longer stays.
The kitchen is fully equipped, making for great savings, with regular size refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, coffeemaker, toaster, and blender. It has pots, pans, plates, glasses, etc. Also comes with a beach cooler.
Seastar has access to 2 private loading docks. You may go swimming, fishing or sun tanning by the water.
Everything in Culebra is close being 7 x 3 miles. You can take taxis for $2-3.00/person almost anywhere. You may also rent cars, scooters, bicycles and kayaks. When you rent I will help with all your rental needs, beaches, places to go, restaurants, etc. I look forward to your communication. Gaby Castro, owner
We had an awesome time on Culebra! We where in contact with Alberto who met us at the ferry got us a cab, and checked us in. He was very responsive the whole trip. The place is a typical beach villa. A little worn but still clean. The deck is huge and gives you a great view.
This review is for the seabird apartment. Gaby was responsive and took care of all of our needs and questions. The view from the apartment is worth the cost of admission alone. Massive balcony to enjoy morning breakfasts and take in the sights. Roughly 10 minutes from Flamenco and 15 to Zoni beach. The apartment is in a great central location and a short drive to all of the restaurants and stores you will need. Bed and pillows are comfortable, and while there is an AC unit there was no need to use it as the apartment has great ventilation. All in a great experience and would definitely recommend to friends and family for the next stay in Culebra.
This was my second time to Culebra, and my first time to this part of the island (stayed near the airport last time). The location is good, only about 10 minutes walking to town, but it's nearly 3 miles to Flamenco Beach, so a walk there takes the better part of an hour. I enjoy walking when I'm on vacation, so I happily trekked to Flamenco every day, and one day we rented a golf cart so we could see the north side of the island (Zoni Beach area).
The grocery store (tiny) is near the airport, so it's about 20 minutes to walk there and back. It's only a few minutes down to the Dinghy Dock, which is the best spot in town to grab a mojito and watch the Tarpon fish swim around the dock (they're HUGE). The Seastar apartment is below the largest apartment in the complex, so during our stay there were a number of people above us, also enjoying their deck. The downside to that is you can hear everything they're saying, all their footsteps, and if someone spills a beer its dripping down onto you below. Not a huge deal, but something to consider.
It was very easy to contact the property manager which was also great. I loved the view of the bay from the deck, it really was breathtaking especially in the mornings watching the sailboats leave the harbor with a nice cup of coffee. The apartment itself is tiny, and my biggest complaint is the bathroom. It doesn't have a door, but a paper partition instead (ZERO privacy). There's a small, dingy shower and you have to practically stand over the toilet to use the sink and mirror. There were cockroaches everywhere when we arrived- in the fridge, running along the counter, and all over the deck. I realize it is a tropical island, but the other homes I've stayed in on Vieques & Culebra were bug free. The property manager came out and sprayed when we told him about the cockroaches and after that they weren't much of a problem.
The mosquitoes were also particularly bad at this location, but there was bug spay (and sunscreen) at the apartment for us to use. I think this would be a really nice apartment if it got a remodel- completely redo the bathroom & kitchen. All in all, it was a decent value but I would not stay here again until they've updated the property. We didn't dislike our stay (you can't be unhappy when you're in Culebra), but it was the poorest accommodations I've stayed in all over Puerto Rico thus far.
The property manager was easy to contact, and was very friendly and helpful. The space was small, but charming, and exactly as described. The deck space is the best part, by far. I wouldn't hesitate to book this space again!
We had a great time in Culebra and Gaby's place made it so. Great location, close to town and everything else. All that we needed was there. We would go back there again, maybe next year and will recommend Green Villas Seastar to our friends.
Amazing location, very close to town to Dewey and very easy to find. We rented a golf cart and this made it easier for getting around to all the wonderful beaches and trails. The apartment has big wooden balcony over looking the bay which is perfect for relaxing and watching all the sail boats cruise by. We shared the balcony with the apartment next door which wasn't a problem as we were never there at the same time in the day so we got the place to ourselves. The apartment was simple and had everything we needed, it wasn't as clean as my standards- but everything is different on the island. Gaby was fast to respond and always available to help or for info which really made the trip very smooth. Overall enjoyed our experience and would stay here again.
We would stay here again. Good location and decent price. It was not luxurious, but that isn't what we were expecting. Air conditioner is quite loud in case you are a light sleeper, but overall would recommend. Thank you for having us!

I love Culebra and Old San Juan. In Culebra I go boating, kayaking, bicycle riding, snorkeling, dancing and doing nothing by the water. I spend time with friends cooking and having a drink. In Old San Juan I love the architecture with its' historic feeling. trying to choose where to eat is always hard since there are so many great choices. The music, dancing and bars round everything up. I also enjoy training to stay in shape. I am always open to making new friends. I spend time with friends regularly in San Juan
